Expert Analysis

Defensive Tackle Snyder is an absolute force in the middle of the defensive line, standing 6’0″ and weighing in at a massive 285 pounds. Opposing offenses quickly learn that one blocker is rarely enough, as Carter routinely commands double teams and still finds ways to disrupt plays in the backfield. His strength, power, and ability to clog running lanes make him a nightmare for offensive linemen and a true weapon for the Kentucky Future Stars defense. Whether it’s collapsing the pocket or shutting down any hole on his side of the line, Snyder has the tools to make a major impact and could turn Tennessee’s game plan into a long day at the office.

2030 McCreary Central (KY) OL Carter Snyder saw reps on both sides of the ball, but his future looks anchored on the interior offensive line. He played with a strong base and good pad level, which allowed him to generate power from a solid stance and hold his ground in protection. Snyder’s punch carried some pop, and he did a nice job keeping his hands active, working to counter and stay in control when defenders made a move. When he stayed balanced and leveraged correctly, he was tough to move. Snyder showed a dependable skill set with traits you can continue to build on.

made his presence felt all weekend as a big, physical force on the defensive line. On Saturday, he was a constant problem for the offense, consistently finding his way into the backfield and disrupting plays. Whether it was pressuring the quarterback or closing in on running backs, he created chaos and made it a long day for his opponent. His combination of size and effort allowed him to control the line of scrimmage and dictate the tempo defensively.
On Sunday, Snyder continued to show his toughness and impact, even while facing increased attention and double teams. Despite the added focus from opposing offenses, he held his ground and remained physical at the point of attack, refusing to be neutralized. His ability to compete through contact and still affect plays speaks to his strength and motor. With his size, physicality, and disruptive ability, Snyder is definitely a name to remember over the next four years.

- Region 4
On a Region 4 team that was highlighted by a tremendous Offensive Line and a gaggle of tough Running Backs that grabbed their hard hats and lunch pails,

was a standout on the other side of the ball for the boys in blue. The massive Defensive Tackle bullied his way through the overmatched Region 3 Offensive Line on Saturday and caused pressure. On Sunday, he lined up at Nose when Region 4 went to a 3-4 and I was impressed with how quickly he moved laterally to control both A Gaps. An 8th grader of his size, moving laterally as well as he did, was impressive.

was another non-starter on the defensive side of the ball for the 7th Grade Kentucky Future Stars, but had some nice stops. The stout Defensive Tackle was a load to deal with on the interior line and did a commendable job of stuffing the running efforts of Tennessee. He, like Salmons and Spencer (listed above), finished (unofficially) with three stops.

this past March, as he suited up for Region 4 in the KYMSFA Battle of the Regions. As I walked the field during pre-game warmups, he passed the eye test right away with his massive size. He doesn’t exactly move with the grace of a Ballerina, but he moves his nearly 300-pound body well enough. I think he’s more of a run-stuff interior Defensive Tackle at this point, but his 2024 film does show him moving in space and blocking on the offensive side as well. It should be noted, in late May 2025 he posted a video of him deadlifting 605-pounds. That’s an impressive weight for anybody, at any age. We’ll see how he uses that strength against Tennessee.
