I love instinctive hybrid linebackers like Carter. He can fly around the box as a blitzer, a run defender, and can be a great off-ball zone defender. He’s quick and can get to the ball-carrier with his speed and play recognition. As a senior on this defense, I would like to see Carter step up and be a huge voice for the youth in the program.

Carter had a great Sophomore season in 2023. His great play was a bright spot in the 4-8 season of the Olentangy Liberty Patriots where they advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He plays as a MLB and OLB. Against the pass, he uses his great athleticism to beat the OT to the inside before exhibiting a great motor in pursuit as he finishes up with a sack. Against the run, he quickly reads run/pass and plays low before delivering a great form tackle preventing a gain of significant yardage. Very good mental toughness enables him to elevate his play in the redzone.
