Baker, a Florida commit, is an athletic outlier at the RB position and plays one part of a two-headed monster at RB for Langston Hughes. Baker is well covered here at Prep Redzone and nationally. Here is what PRZ Scout Lawrence Morgan said on Baker this past offseason:
“Kelly has a dude to hand the ball to in 6’2 200 Carsyn BakerCarsynBaker

Standing tall at 6’2”, Carsyn has truly made a name for himself as one of the top players in the state—and it’s no surprise why. With a rare combination of size, agility, and strength, he has the ability to change the course of a game with a single play. Whether it’s charging through defenders with relentless power or darting past them with impressive speed, he’s a nightmare for any defense. His blend of size and athleticism allows him to break tackles while maintaining the speed to outrun defenders in the open field, making him one of the most exciting and dangerous running backs in high school football.
With over 40 Division I offers already on the table, this player is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after recruits in the country. His talent has caught the attention of top-tier programs who are eager to bring him on board. His ability to make an impact in every facet of the game—from running the ball to catching passes out of the backfield—has made him a versatile weapon for his team. His football IQ and vision also set him apart, allowing him to read defenses and find the best path to gain yardage or break away for a touchdown.
As he continues to dominate on the field, this 6’2″ running back is only getting better. His senior season is shaping up to be one for the history books, and with each game, he further solidifies his status as one of the top recruits in the nation. With his combination of size, skill, and determination, there’s no doubt that he’s poised to make a major impact at the collegiate level and beyond. This rising star is one to watch closely, let’s see if he can continue to help his team make a deep playoff run to get to the state title game.
One of the top 2026 running backs across the South, Baker is one of the fastest backs in Georgia and already holds offers from some of the best programs in college football. He’s a long-strider who picks up yards in a hurry and does is with an impressive frame. He’s big enough to bowl over defenders with enough speed to take off on any particular play. The Atlanta-area back has run for 1,039 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. He rushed for over 100 yards last week in a big win over Thomas County Central and is hoping to do something similar against a tough Coffee team.
Carsyn Baker is a scouts dream at RB. Listed at 6’2 200, running a 10.65 at that weight should have P4 coaches lined up for him, and those offers are starting to pour in. He is still growing into his frame and ultimately has his best football ahead of him, but his sophomore tape is a good testament to what he is capable of doing. He effortlessly glides around the football, generating the drive with his knees needed to skate through running lanes. He also has enough suddenness to stick his cleats in the dirt and get vertical. Speed to power potential is often used to describe EDGE guys, but Baker has some of that potential as an RB. He has plenty of room to add weight, and when he does, he will be a downhill machine capable of handling a workload in college. If it were up to me, my 2026 RB board would start with Baker.
