I am additionally impressed with Carson Lawrence Carson Lawrence 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB McCallie | 2025 State TN , a defensive back at McCallie High School. What stands out about Lawrence’s playstyle is his ability to read the offense like a book and expect the deep pass. I also like how Lawrence can consistently pick off the quarterback and fight his way into enemy territory after the catch.

On multiple occasions throughout the game, Lawrence flashed his massive college football potential and why he is a Prep Redzone Tennessee Top 10 prospect. This future Vanderbilt safety produced several big catches at wide receiver but broke the Tigers back in the 3rd quarter with a pick six that pretty much sealed the win. His size, range and natural feel for finding the ball are impressive traits about this 6 ‘2 defensive back and why he is one of the best prospects in the state. He used those traits and more to help get his Blue Tornado back into the D2-Class AAA championship.

Lawrence has been a hot commodity during these off-season months as multiple Power Four have been in pursuit and trying to flip his commitment from the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Blue Tornado safety has become a top tier recruit and a top 10 ranked prospect by #PRZTN due to his potential to become an All-Conference performer during his time in the Southeastern Conference. What you like most about this ball hawk is his ability to track the ball in the air then use his range and speed to make a play on the ball. Lawrence also brings good size to the table, so he can eventually turn into a solid run stuffer as well. All the athletic and physical traits are there for Lawrence to develop nicely in college and potentially take his game into the professional level.
