Lemburg is one the top returning athletes in the state of Texas regardless of class, The Gunter High product, plays at a different speed from his opponents, as a receiver, he is shifty in space, he runs crisp routes and his playmaking ability was a key component in the Tigers run to a 2022 state title. Cannon is an explosive leaper, which aides him at winning on 50/50 jump balls. In the open field, Lemburg has the skill set to change directions quickly, his run after catch ability makes him dangerous in the open field and his acceleration on the run enables him to burst past defenders to take it to the house. Cannon has peaked the interest of schools around the country, he has multiple visits set up this summer, as well as camp invites and as more schools Get Eyes On Him, there will be offers to come heading into his senior season.

Lemberg has an explosive game, he is shifty off the line of scrimmage which enables him to create separation early, he runs crisp routes and his ability to get in and out of his breaks quickly, make him a reliable target. The name Cannon fits him to a tee, he has the speed to stretch the defense and runs like he was shot from a cannon. He has an extended catch radius, he tracks the ball in flight with late hands and he can explode up top, which enables him to win on the 50/50 contested grabs. A gifted athlete, Lemberg flips to the defensive side at Gunter and attacks opponents with the same vigor that he plays with offensively. He tackles well in the open field, he has the versatility to cover wideouts at defensive back and if he gets his hands on the football Lemberg switches immediately to an offensive threat. Cannon has been apart of two State Championships at Gunter,  he was selected First Team All-State in 2022 and lead the team in receptions. Sam Houston State and Marshall University have offers on the table, but Navy, Austin Peay, Stephen F. Austin, Princeton and Holy Cross all have extended invites to the dynamic playmaker. Look for Lemberg’s stock to continue to trend upward as he heads into his senior season.
