About Caeylin
Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A tough, hard-running back at Richmond Academy who does a good job of breaking tackles, Menzie gets tough yards due to the way he runs and will likely be one of the best running backs in the region and across the Augusta area in 2026. He’s shown D1-caliber potential over the years and is seeing his recruitment start to pick up with a new offer from UMASS. If he continues to play hard and develop over time, Menzie could be bound for a really productive 2026 season this fall.

The first thing I noticed about Menzie on the field was the size of his legs. The workhorse back out of Georgia is already squatting over 400 pounds for reps, as he gets set to enter his freshman year of high school. Pound for pound, he is likely the strongest prospect on this 2027 Georgia Future Star on this eighth-grade team in 2023. He’s already camped at Florida State and Clemson, with more on the horizon.

Having Menzie back on this eighth-grade Georgia Future Stars team is a big blessing. A year ago Menzie made the team as a running back, but with an insanely talented and crowded running back group, this year the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder will be playing as a linebacker. Fresh off a season where he ran for over 1,000 yards, led in tackles (unofficially) and earned team MVP at Richmond Hill Middle School. Also a tireless worker in the weight room. Menzie has a lot of potential on both sides of the ball and will be a great piece for Georgia.

Nicknamed Rhino and for a good reason, Menzie is an explosive, downhill runner who hits the hole hard and isn’t afraid to dish out punishment. He’s got a strong lower half and already squats over 375-pounds, in addition to his 225-pound bench press. His low body strength gives him the power to run hard and makes him a nightmare for smaller defenders to bring to the ground. When running the ball he shows good patience in hitting the hole, has good vision, and good cutback ability which allows him to pick up big chunk yards. He’s got a vicious stiff arm and recently rushed for more than 200 yards on the ground in a recent game. In just the eighth-grade, he’s a bull to bring down for opposing defenses.
