Watching his first couple of reps in person forced me to pay attention to him for the rest of the event. Confident as ever, physical, and willing to take on any team’s best wideout. Ran well for a player his size, he’s tall and lanky, yet doesn’t weigh too much so the smooth hips are still there. Thornton is an unranked and un-offered junior, one who was likely overlooked during the ranking process. I feel that to be especially true after watching his junior tape. Watching Thornton navigate the secondary at his size, I imagine he could easily suit up at safety and wideout in a setting like this one. Several PBUs recorded in the red zone while I watched the Longhorns play. His performance left a lasting impression.
