He has an insane level of short-area quickness and agility, making it extremely hard for defensive backs to stay with him unless they press him at the line of scrimmage.

On the football field, he’s an incredibly talented wide receiver prospect who’s consistently able to get consistent separation with his above-average short-area quickness and speed. It’s very hard for defensive backs to keep up with him after his initial break at hip-level, especially on in-breakers when the defenders have outside leverage.

It’s going to be incredibly interesting to see what Nickens can do as a full-time starter at wide receiver as a sophomore. He’s participated in a few different camps this summer, and that should definitely jumpstart his recruiting interest as well.

Elijah does a great job making separation and has elite burst out of his breaks and will leave the defender looking silly. Throughout Nickens film he had showcased his yards after the catch ability and man this kid is walking highlight. Elijah runs very crisp routes and can run any route in the route tree he excels in the intermediate and short yardage. Elijah Nickens Elijah Nickens 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR/DB Osbourn | 2029 State VA really came on strong as Osbourn’s season wore on, he saved his best for last gashing the Eagles longtime rival Osbourn Park. Nickens bumped up to 11th overall and 3rd for this loaded position group. He has a chance for even bigger role next season with Osbourn being hit by the graduation and transfer bug. Good slot wideout who is excellent and finding openings in against a zone defense.

The 14th ranked 2029 prospect Nickens is making plays for the Eagles at defensive back. Had the privilege of watching him back this summer and he looked ready to make an impact as a freshman. Needless to say he has done that and then some, Nickens could see a rankings bump in our post-season class rankings.
