Expert Analysis
Alin Edouard | Prep Redzone Scout
Cade is a high-upside defender who brings a strong blend of physicality, versatility, and experience to the secondary. After transferring from Kingwood HS to Katy HS, he steps into a program known for producing disciplined, hard-nosed defensive talent and fits that mold well.
He plays with a confident, aggressive style, showing no hesitation in coming downhill against the run or working in space in coverage. Cade is at his best when he’s allowed to be active — triggering quickly, reading routes early, and attacking the football.
In run support, he shows strong willingness and toughness, taking good angles and finishing plays with authority. His physical approach allows him to be a reliable force near the line of scrimmage.
As a defender in space, Cade continues to show development in coverage awareness and positioning, with the tools to match up against athletic receivers when needed. His ability to adapt to different alignments adds value to his overall game.
With his commitment to the University of Texas and his move to Katy HS, Cade enters a new stage of development with high-level competition and increased exposure.

Haug is a hybrid linebacker that lives in the backfield and plays the run as well as anyone in the country. He showcases great field awareness and short-area quickness, allowing him to read, break, and finish plays around the line of scrimmage. Cade is intentional with his movement, displaying polished footwork, pad level, and tackling ability. Through 7 contests, Haug has totaled a remarkable 87 tackles, 17 TFLs (school record), and 3 sacks. And if you thought his dynamic versatility was only used on the defensive side, you’d be mistaken, as he’s also contributed over a hundred yards and a couple TDs rushing. Cade has received offers from schools such as Kansas State, Arizona, and Nebraska, and he will look to help wheel his Mustangs to a final playoff push.

has been a huge factor for the Kingwood Mustangs this season, totaling 140 tackles and averaging 11 per game. The 6’2″, 210-pound sophomore is a dynamic playmaker, recording 5 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 2 fumble recoveries, and even blocking a punt and a field goal. Haug’s speed allows him to cover the entire field, making him a threat both in run defense and coverage. With his explosiveness, alertness, and dominant presence, it’s no surprise he holds an offer from Houston with other p4 schools showing lots of interest. Haug’s all-around game has made him one of the most talented linebackers to watch in the state.

Winning the FBU Houston Gatorade MVP was the first step for Cade in proving he’s going to be a stud playing both RB and LB as he’s entering his freshman year at Kingwood High School. This downhill runner is no stranger to contact and plays with the mindset I’m going to hit you before you hit me which makes him extremely dangerous on both sides of the ball.
