Davies’ versatility as an outside backer immediately stands out. He understands his responsibilities and reads his keys with great discipline.

Davies is an incredibly strong run defender who presses base blocks backward, holds his ground and consistently locates the football after defeating contact. He maintains outside containment when needed and has the speed to chase down ball carriers from the backside. He also plays confidently in space, dropping into coverage, reading the quarterback’s eyes and using his quickness to jump routes.

As a pass rusher, Davies makes life difficult for opposing tackles. His active hands, speed and relentless motor allow him to generate pressure at a high rate. He does an excellent job of flipping his hips and swiping away the blocker’s hands to clear a path to the quarterback.

Aferi is a steady and disciplined linebacker who plays with strong instincts and consistent effort snap after snap. He reads his keys quickly, flows well to the ball, and does a good job fitting downhill with control. He understands leverage in the run game and keeps himself in position to make plays rather than chasing unnecessarily. In space, he shows the ability to adjust and close on ball carriers with intent. Aferi brings reliability and toughness to the second level, making him a dependable piece in the defense who competes hard and stays around the football.

Aferi, at linebacker, impressed during drills by showing fluid movement, quick reactions, and controlled footwork. In cone and agility drills, he navigated changes of direction smoothly while staying low and balanced. During coverage reps, Aferi read routes effectively, keeping pace with receivers and adjusting quickly to the ball. His hands, hips, and overall body control allowed him to stay disciplined through each rep, while his effort and focus were evident in every drill.
