Mallory wrapped up his HS career with 285 tackles, 43 TFLs, 8 sacks, 90 hurries, and was in on 9 different fumbles. It was an outstanding career for an incredibly talented big-body LB with a bright future.

Mallory is an incredibly physical LB who is best near the LOS, and Friday was another great example of that. He’s a run stuffer who can get off blocks, has long arms, and makes tackles with the 1 extended arm. He forces teams to run away from him, and he’ll still find a way to make a play. Mallory ended Friday with 20 tackles, 3 TFLs, and 2 sacks in an incredible 38-35 game against Center Grove.

I just came across Mallory, and I’m not sure how I missed him until now. He was an absolute animal for Lawrence North last year and has the size and presence that jumps off the screen. He’s well built and has no problem mixing it up in the trenches if needed. He finished with 130 total tackles, 6 sacks, 6 PBUs, and 2 blocked punts, which was good enough to get him an All-State nod. He plays with an edge and looks like a rising star who has the tools to play at the next level.
