About Braylon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a fast, disciplined, and high-IQ player who competes with heart every snap. As a WR/DB, I use quick footwork, strong hands, and smart positioning to make plays on both sides of the ball. I’m coachable, aggressive, and always locked in whatever it takes to help my team win

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m driven, disciplined, and always focused on growth on and off the field. I take pride in my work ethic, stay grounded in my faith, and lead by example with character, accountability, and a team-first mindset

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of sports, I stay focused on academics and community involvement. I’ve volunteered at places like St. Mary’s Food Bank and take pride in being a positive role model at school and in my neighborhood. While I haven’t been in many clubs, I’m always looking for ways to grow as a leader and give back off the field

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership by staying consistent, encouraging teammates, and setting the standard through my actions. I know success comes from trusting and pushing each other on the field. Off the field, I value giving back, like volunteering at St. Mary's Food Bank, because being part of the community is just as important as what happens on the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was a pulled hamstring that forced me to sit out and focus on recovery. It was tough not being on the field, but it taught me patience, the importance of taking care of my body, and staying mentally locked in even when I couldn’t physically compete. I came back stronger, smarter, and more motivated

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that values both academics and athletics. Somewhere I can grow as a student, athlete, and person. I want a strong football program with a culture built on discipline, brotherhood, and development, as well as coaches who believe in their players. I’m also looking for a school where I’ll be part of a supportive community that pushes me to be my best on and off the field.

2027 Defensive Back Braylon Wilkerson Braylon Wilkerson Braylon Wilkerson 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB/WR Desert Mountain | 2027 State AZ is looking to prove why he is one of the best cornerbacks in the entire state this upcoming season. In his sophomore season, he had 23 total tackles, 16 of those as solo tackles, 1 TFL, 3 INTs and 7 pass deflections. Mainly playing at the right side cornerback position, he showcases terrific mobility and change of direction to move around the field swiftly. He has marvelous technique, never out of position and always trailing from the hip pocket of the receiver. When the ball is in the air, he has no problem displaying outstanding leaping ability and snagging the ball out of the air like he is the receiver for the turnover. Wilkerson is a dynamic, playmaking cornerback built for the spotlight who is ready to take his game to an elite level this next season.
