Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
An impressive two-way player on the rise in Suwanee, Palmer has been flying under the radar for way too long. Now, offers are flying in and the playmaking athlete added new offers recently from Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, among others. While he can help defensively, Palmer really shined on offense, catching 31 passes for 375 yards and five touchdowns. Just a sophomore, he shined as a second-year player and had his Power-Four talent on full display. Look for this fast-rising playmaker to light up the stat sheet as a junior in 2026.

A twitchy, sure-handed two-way player on the rise in Gwinnett County, Palmer may not have lit up the stat sheet last year as a freshman, but that could change next fall in year two. He’s a lean, athletic player who can create separation on offense while making plays in the secondary on defense. The more he plays, the better he’ll get, and he should be playing a lot on both sides of the ball in 2025. He’s a prospect on the rise who could earn plenty of D1 offers down the road.

An explosive receiver who showed he can be extremely dangerous after the catch, Palmer is a promising 2028 athlete with a lean frame, excellent burst, and the potential to have a giant sophomore season next fall. If he can continue to develop as a route-runner while adding more muscle, Palmer could become one of the more productive receivers in the area for his class this fall. Palmer has added recent offers from South Florida and Boston College.

In a game where elite defensive backs are in high demand, this young athlete is proving he has all the tools to be a future star. With sharp instincts, fluid hips, and an exceptional ability to read the quarterback, this DB has established himself as a true lockdown defender. His ability to mirror receivers’ step for step in coverage makes him nearly impossible to beat, and his ball skills allow him to turn pass breakups into game-changing interceptions.
What separates him from the rest is his football IQ—he sees plays develop before they happen, putting himself in the perfect position to shut down opposing offenses. Whether he’s pressing at the line of scrimmage or sitting back in zone coverage, his discipline and awareness allow him to make the right play at the right time. Add in his elite closing speed and physicality in run support, and you have a defensive back who can impact the game at every level.
With his skill set and relentless work ethic, it won’t be long before this rising star becomes one of the most sought-after defensive backs in his class. Keep an eye on him—he’s built for the big stage.

There’s a lot to like about Palmer, who contributed sparingly on varsity as a freshman. He is listed at 5’11 165, but plays much bigger, climbing the ladder through contact to make contested grabs. He flashes impressive ball-tracking skills over his shoulder. Palmer is a solid athlete, but he looks the part of a reliable pass catcher who can contribute at each level of the field. Palmer looks like a future FBS WR prospect.
