is a dual-threat quarterback who is equally deadly running the ball as he is throwing it. Laux is excellent on designed quarterback runs where he can use his size and run through contact. He is also a good quarterback on scrambled plays where he runs around and makes plays. Laux shows good strong arm strength and knows when to touch the ball when needed as well. Laux is a good a quaterback.

The 6’4, 215 lbs FBS product is a versatile athlete that will play TE on the FBS level. Braden picked EMU over Western Kentucky, Marshall, and Maine, respectively. He joins former WPIAL North Catholic DB, Chase Arrington, from the ’22 class in the MAC.
He shows athleticism running the zone read, and he’s deceptively fast in the open field. Laux uses his mobility to buy time, scrambling to find targets downfield. His 6’4 frame and athleticism will be very helpful when playing against top-tier D1 LBs and Defensive Backs on the next level. He flashes his strength, shaking off sacks and breaking tackles when he runs the football. He has all the attributes of an effective run-blocking collegiate TE as well. Braden will be a dangerous weapon as a flex TE in must-have passing situations. Laux made his college plans known when he committed to the MAC program Eastern Michigan University last month. Martin & Laux are the Leopards’ D1 leaders, looking to make another deep playoff run.

and you have a feeling that he could produce favorably, at TE or at QB. Braden did exactly that, which is why we designated him as an ATH. I saw Braden work in the State Title game, where Laux flashed why everyone is so excited about his game. My reason for Laux not placing inside the top 150, where he belongs, might be because of my questions about his abilities behind center when projecting to the next level. I should value his overall skillset a bit more, I should also see that he’s answered many of the questions I had after rewatching tape. Nonetheless, there was no doubt in my mind that Laux would receive love from FCS schools, I didn’t imagine he’d receive G5 offers this quickly. He’s done just that. Since January, Laux has received calls from Western Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, and Maine University. He’s out-pacing his rank.

This could be a name to get on your radar fast. Considering this young man’s complete package, there’s a ton to like, a ton to pick apart too.

‘s midseason tape at Quarterback surprised me. Laux doesn’t have tape from previous years, so I’m relatively blind to his skillsets outside of his remarkable height and weight combination. His snaps behind center looked positive. His feet can get better, as can his anticipation, yet there’s no doubting the young man’s natural arm talent. He’s got some torque in his hips that allow him to rocket shots downfield. He’s got an understanding of depth perception too, his tape shows he understands when to put touch on the ball. He has a pass up the seam where only his man could get it, he’s got a pass to the flat that lofts over a DBs head. He’s also willing to run with the football and assert dominance. Plug in the defensive end tape and you come away excited about what Laux provides. He’s got experience against RPO action, he’s aggressive against the run and pass. He’s got a motor too. For college coaches, reps at either position are just icing on the cake.
