He projects comfortably to safety. The frame supports the move while the tackling ability continues standing out. He understands how to read plays and react quickly. Coaches should appreciate that combination.

As a wide receiver, he demonstrates a good ability to catch the ball and evade defenders. He was also used in the run game on jet sweeps. On those handoffs, he showed good speed and ability to make defenders miss. He is also a lockdown cornerback. He can lock down and cover a wide receiver when he is matched up one-on-one. He also shows good ball coverage skills, so when the ball is thrown in his direction, he can get his hands on the ball. On both sides of the ball, Tatar is a good player.

While he is listed as a WR here on film, he has reps at RB, being used as the motion man, playing out wide, and on return duty. Tatar has more than adequate size to play WR. He is a long-strider kind of charging up his runs and routes, but he has breakaway speed and awesome body control. At the catch point, he uses his hands and plucks the ball out of the air. My only want is to see his route tree and precision as a route runner develop a little more. Tatar has all the tools of an FCS player, but a G5 ceiling.
