This was a great game to see some of the best WR talent in WI. Ben is another athlete with that unfair speed out wide. He really let us see it on his 50+ yard TD catch where he won off the line and pulled away on his way to the catch and after it. Ben also has the quick twitch agility and lateral movement that had you thinking any of his catches could result in him shaking the defense and breaking free for a big score. He is one of the top uncommitted mismatches out wide that WI has to offer. Ben played like it Thursday night too.

Ben and West De Pere will host Hortonville in a rematch of the 2023 season opener. WDP brought home the 25-14 victory in a thrilling battle of two very talented teams that I was lucky enough to watch live. A lot will be different this time around as Lemirand moves into the WR1 role. Last year Ben came away with an electric 4 receptions that went for 126 yards and a TD. With the graduation of Langdon Nordgaard, who had 11 catches that day, we could see Ben get a big jump in targets.
Just like in last year’s matchup, Lemirand will give WDP the fastest athlete on the field. That has led to WDP also having the most explosive playmaker on the field. Ben is an athlete who can get behind the defense with ease and track the ball over his shoulder. He can also take the quick pass, make the defense miss and be off to the races. Keeping Ben in front of the defense will be a challenge for teams all season. Can’t wait for these Week 1 highlights.

I had high expectations coming into camp for

. The 6′ 170 lbs WR delivered on my expectations and came away with a few more offers to add to his consistently growing list. Speed is the name of the game for Ben out at WR. You will be hard pressed to find a CB that can run downfield with him. Ben posted a 4.49 40 yard dash, 34″ vertical and 9’10” broad jump. The incoming senior is explosive as a route runner, coming out of breaks and instantly getting up to speed to create that space that OCs and QBs love to have at their disposal. Ben proved to be one of the best at his position in WI.

Another skill player that is going to prove he plays the game at a different speed than the rest of the field is West De Pere’s

. The WR has the tape showing he is a matchup nightmare at the HS level. Ben is so quick off the line, getting on top of CBs right at the snap. That instantly puts the pressure on the defender trying to react to a route break or trying to turn and run with him. The explosive burst isn’t just at the line. We see it when he goes up and gets it at the high point over DBs as well.
The 6′ 170 lbs WR could really turn heads when he again verifies the 4.54 40 speed and 10.69 100M speed. Ben brings a trait to the field you can’t coach into an athlete. I’m excited for his camp season.

Rankings Jump: #78 up to #31rnI started the season off in 2023 watching West De Pere in person, and one of the early standouts was Lemirand out wide. After watching through the entire junior highlights it is clear he carried that momentum through the entire season. Ben is the speedy mismatch at the position that is going to give teams nightmares this fall. The junior has track speed that translates to the grass/turf. the junior easily eats up cushions from CBs and gets behind the defense. Proving to be more than just a deep threat, Ben also stands out at the catch. He has no problem going up over DBs and taking it off their heads while focusing through contact. Lemirand also demonstrated that he is a natural at finding the ball in the air and adjusting to it. Then after the catch he quickly gets to a second gear to beat pursuit angles. I have a feeling we are in store for a big year from the WDP WR.

of West De Pere was a 2025 wide receiver that caught my eyes throughout the second session of the Prep Redzone Wisconsin Showcase. I loved the pure fluidity and excellent finished burst this young man ran with from the testing session to 1v1s later in the session. His significant twitch certainly sets a sizable tone to get ample separation off the top of his routes. Ben also showed off an athletic vertical I witnessed from my first look at him yesterday, as this young man gets in the air with some pure athleticism. I also see excellent balance and quick instincts with his ball awareness along the edges of the field when I rolled his tape tonight which also shows a significant football IQ. I will be intrigued to see where Ben ends up with his testing numbers from yesterday in Oak Creek, as he has a plethora of FCS attention already in the 2025 class.

Stats: 4 Receptions, 126 Yards, 1 TDrnLemirand has me excited for his future. The 6′ 170 lbs junior WR is also one of the Phantoms kick returners. Speed is the name of the game here. On his long TD catch, Ben ate up the cushion from the DB, ran under the deep ball, and then easily won the race to the endzone. Ben fits into the kick returner role well also. Not only does the speed get to shine there, we also got to see how well he sees the field and can set up blocks. Lemirand is dangerous in space, and we should see a lot of big plays from the speedster this fall.
