Uncommitted former St Michaels star Austin Mawyer Austin Mawyer 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB St Michael The Archangel | 2026 State VA had a good weekend playing for Select Few. This was a very talented squad top to bottom with the former school record holder leading the way. Mawyer is coming off a senior season that saw him earn All League honors for the third year in a row. Coaches still have time to get this underrated gunslinger, hard to believe to me that someone hasn’t already.

Austin Mawyer Austin Mawyer 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB St Michael The Archangel | 2026 State VA for about 2 seasons has quietly ripped through numerous defenses since taking over at St. Michaels. His senior season saw him throw for 11 touchdowns and earn him All state honors for the third season in a row. Despite missing a couple games this fall due to injuries he lead the VISAA in passing yards, the young man is a gamer.

In six games, Austin put up 2,043 passing yards and 22 TDs, averaging 340.5 yards per game. Hs play is a critical part of the Warrior’s success this season. He is an accurate passer with a strong arm. Has the balance and poise to stick in the pocket and can also roll out and make accurate throws on the run in both directions. I really like what his season film from this year shows.

Replacing a multi-year starter Mawyer is rising up the charts with his work for the Warriors. Leading his squad to victories over Benedictine, Flint Hill and Trinity Episcopal, this young man has been very impressive. Breaking the school’s passing yardage record two weeks ago with 411 yards, Mawyer seems to be just getting started.

As of this writing I still do not have clarification on why star quarterback Nahshon Wilson Nahshon Wilson 6'2" | 290 lbs | QB Mount Zion Prep | 2025 State MD didnt play, but his replacement Austin Mawyer Austin Mawyer 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB St Michael The Archangel | 2026 State VA was impressive.

The Liberty transfer reclassified and will have two seasons to open up more opportunities for college coaches. He really threw the ball well Friday accounting for 4 touchdown passes. Again not sure why Wilson did not play but if Mawyer’s outing was any indication, the quarterback room is very talented for the Warriors.
