About Austin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I feel as though I am what I like to call a Triple-Threat on the field. I can pass the ball from the pocket, I'm not afraid to run the ball but I can also make a play on the run if I need to get rid of the ball. Constantly scanning the field, reading the defense and ready for the next play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a pretty laid back guy but I am very competitive and hate to lose. I don't let the competition get the best of me and can keep a level head the whole game. Keeping a level head the whole game allows me to make split second decisions without all the extra noise.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I stay pretty consistent in the gym and at sports training throughout the year and I work hard to keep my grades up so that doesn't allow for a lot of extra time.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned that being a leader comes with great responsibility. I must carry myself in a manner that teammates, other students and younger kids look up to and can be proud of.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Many challenges but the ones that make me work the hardest are the coaches who didn't give me a chance or believe in me. That is one thing that drives me to be a better football player and a person. The only person I'm in competition with is my self.
