McQuaig is the highest ranked new addition at the DB position in PRZ NV’s latest update to the 2027 rankings. The 6’2″/175 safety put together a productive junior season with 22 solo tackles and 6 INTs this fall. He’s a playmaker in the secondary that consistently finds himself around the ball with his instincts and awareness and is a turnover producer with great ball skills. Would like to see him improve his play-speed and fluidity heading into next season but the physical tools and proven production offer promising upside. McQuaig is a defensive back to have on the radar this offseason.
