Mr. Hayden was a force on the defensive side of the ball finishing the game with 9 tackles, 1.0 TFLs, and getting one carry for a 69 yard TD late in the game putting his talents on full display. The University of Illinois Commit was triggering downhill in close space all day long to meet the ball carrier in the hole and plug gaps in run support. He also did a good job shooting gaps to disrupt plays in the backfield which is how he came away with 1.0 TFLs on the day. The closing speed that this young man has is impressive and there’s no doubt as to why he’s going to continue his career in the BIG10 next fall.

Starting off with Mr. Hayden, I actually had the opportunity to see this young man live in action during the IHSA 6A State Championship. What stands out the most about his game is his ability to plug gaps in run support and get his nose in run plays. Just turn on his highlights and you’ll see his impact in the run game disrupting plays at the line of scrimmage and in the backfield on a consistent basis. Back in March, he ended up committed to The University of Illinois and is another highly sought after recruit that decided to stay in the home state. Overall, this young man has the potential to lineup across various positions in the box either on the d-line or as a linebacker. The future is high for this young man. Twitterrn
