These young men are across the board with college potential at all the various levels. We’re here to highlight thier improvements and updates in thier recruiting. Without further ado, let’s dive into part one of this multi-part series diving into the stock risers in the class of 23.
Starting off with Mr. Hayden, I actually had the opportunity to see this young man live in action during the IHSA 6A State Championship. What stands out the most about his game is his ability to plug gaps in run support and get his nose in run plays. Just turn on his highlights and you’ll see his impact in the run game disrupting plays at the line of scrimmage and in the backfield on a consistent basis. Back in March, he ended up committed to The University of Illinois and is another highly sought after recruit that decided to stay in the home state. Overall, this young man has the potential to lineup across various positions in the box either on the d-line or as a linebacker. The future is high for this young man. Twitterrn

Mr. Schmalz has a tenacity that you love seeing out in a defensive lineman. His quickness off the ball and ability to win at the point of attack separates him from others. This results in him disrupting plays in the backfield both in run support and during his pass rush. With that being said, he committed to Brown University back in July. Overall, keep a listen to the PA announcements during the game as more times than not you’ll hear them calling this young man’s name. Twitterrn

Mr. Zook is part of a dominant from seven that Yorkville has and has gone on a handful of visits this summer. Some of those visits include Northern Illinois University, Illinois State University, and South Dakota State University to name a few. This young man most recently picked up a few offers from Illinois State University, Valparaiso University, and the University of Sioux Falls this summer as well. There’s no doubt as to why he has this interest, just turn on his highlights and you’ll see the impact he makes on the defensive front. Overall, keep a close eye on this young man as I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up with more offers once this fall season is concluded. Twitter

Mr. Brown is a stellar halfback that if you miss a gap responsibility can gash the defense for six. After a productive fall season, this young man’s recruiting skyrocketed having multiple offers coming in across various levels. Some of these offers include the University of Northern Iowa, Illinois State University, and Fordham University to name a few. This is only the beginning for this young man as his potential is high heading into his senior season. Pairing his skill set with teammates QB Michael Champagne Michael Champagne 5’10” | 160 lbs | QB Glenbard South | 2024 State IL and WR Cam Williams Cam Williams 6’2″ | 190 lbs | WR Glenbard South | 2024 State IL , keep a close eye on Glenbard South as they are set to make a deep playoff run. After a productive Junior season resulting in an IHSA State Championship appearance, Mr. Farrell saw his recruiting skyrocket. This young man picked up various FBS and FCS Offers across the board from a variety of schools. Turn on his film and you’ll see the high motor type of player that he is. With that being said, he ended up committing to the University of Illinois in early June staying in-state to continue his football career at the next level. In the meantime, look for this young man to continue to take names and wreak havoc on the defensive side of the ball this season. Twitter
