Ellington is an absolutely electric athlete at 5’11” 165 pounds that was the leader at QB for the state champs at Althoff as a sophomore. The first thing that jumps out about Ellington is his ELITE speed. Like Mike Vick ability with the ball as a runner. It is insane. As a passer he is like a point guard back there making quick decisions and getting the ball out quickly usually to his first option. Excellent distributor that rips it on intermediate passes. Has touch on the deep ball particularly on the sideline. RPO game will be one of his biggest strengths going forward as an athletic QB. There might be some concerns with his size, but we believe he can be an impact QB at the next level. He does tell us that he will be playing some defensive back this upcoming season showing versatility.
