Smith is a player I had the opportunity to evaluate early on in his high school career as a sophomore. Smith has always had acrobatic catch ability and an impressive catch radius, but he’s added a few new skills since then. Smith’s run after the catch ability improved to the point that he gets carries from the running back position. He runs physical unlike your typical receiver and more like a tailback. He possesses the speed to take short receptions for chunk gains and can take the top off of a defense. This season Smith leads 4A receivers with 7 touchdowns and even 2 rushing touchdowns to add to his overall total. For yardage he’s currently recorded 413 yards on 28 receptions. With the Dundalk Owls playoff reputation expect to see a lot of Smith this post season on the road to States.
