Holmes is a dominant edge player and excels when stopping the run. Holmes holds D1 size and strength which makes him hard to block. Holmes has flown under the radar but will gain some attention this off-season and in the summer at college camps. Look for Holmes to continue to develop to have a dominant senior campaign and to gain his first offer.

Holmes has been elite of the edge all season long and helped his Sierra Vista squad to a 21-15 win over Desert Oasis finishing the game with 3 sacks. Holmes has great size and strength that has improved in the off-season allowing him to dominate in this first half of the year.

Holmes has garnered attention this offseason for the high-upside athleticism he’s shown as an EDGE rusher. He’s continued to looked more explosive off the ball and stronger at the POA in dealing with OTs at recent camps since posting 53 tackles, 3 sacks, and 6 TFLs as a sophomore. He possesses the bend, agility, and short-range burst coaches look for in EDGE defenders at the next level. His playmaking as a sophomore was more reliant on his raw athleticism but with the refinement he’s shown in his skillset over the past several months, Holmes should develop into one of the more disruptive front-seven defenders in Nevada’s 5A D-II this fall.

Holmes is an explosive pass rusher for Sierra Vista HS. Holmes has a great frame and shows fluid hips when changing directions. As Holmes continues to develop, he will gain D1 attention in his recruitment. Holmes explodes with great bend and violent hands off the edge allowing for big time play making ability. Look for Holmes to be all over opposing backfields in his junior campaign. Holmes gained interest from UNLV after a great showing at the Rebel’s camp this summer.
