Young brings a unique blend of athleticism and strength that allows him to impact both the run and passing game. He moves exceptionally well for an interior offensive lineman and consistently positions himself to sustain blocks. His ability to mirror defenders in pass protection makes him a dependable presence up front. In the run game, he shows the balance and body control necessary to create running lanes against physical defensive fronts. Young’s versatility and athletic profile make him one of the more overlooked offensive line prospects in Southern Nevada’s 2027 class.

does not have more attention on social media. Expect that to change and Clifton’s regional recruitment to pick up throughout 2024. Clifton shows good size and strong hands sustaining blocks in the run game. Good flexibility and flashes of next level quickness gets displayed when Clifton successfully executes down blocks as Sierra Vista’s guard. Good patience, size, and Clifton’s next level anchor gets displayed as a pass blocker.
Young JR. has a ton of potential with a huge upside as an Offensive Line prospect in this 2027 class. He has good size right now at 6-foot-2 and 250-pounds with long limbs — a pretty ideal frame for a kid getting ready to enter high school. As I watched him in person, and then on film, there are two main things that stick out. First, he shows a lot of versatility up front and has played both Guard and Tackle, on both sides of the Center, on film. Personally, I like what he brings to the table as an interior guy because he’s quick and sudden with his strikes. The other thing that really caught my attention is his intelligence and football mindset. I’ve seen him release off a double team at the precise moment in order to get up the Linebackers, several times. Instinctual guy who understands angles and speed quite well.
