One of the top DL/Edge seniors still on the board is St. Cat’s Adrian Contreras- Ward. The 2026 has a great frame that really filled out nicely for his senior season. Even at his size the senior is still able to get out of his stance quickly and has the range to chase down the ball and the agility to corral RBs in the backfield. I love the physicality he plays with too. From overall power to drive OL back to his heavy hands that are able to completely swipe aside the hands of OTs and give him clear paths to the backfield. Don’t miss out on grabbing the talented and productive senior defender.

A DL that is rapidly rising up the boards is Racine St. Catherine’s Adreyan Contreras- Ward. The impressive DE now checks in at 6’2″ 233 lbs while still running a 4.86 shuttle and broad jumping 8.5′. You have to love the long arms on his frame too, and Adreyan put them to work in a variety of ways. The ’26 had a great day using his swim move and also had several reps where he had to move on to a secondary move and would figure out ways to still win. The big man also proved his power, getting his hands inside while getting underneath the OL to drive them into the backfield or used his upper body strength to toss OL to the side. The ’26 DE was also very explosive out of his stance with his first step. He earned his first D1 offer from St. Thomas with his performance. Big things ahead for him.

We wrap things up with a big jump from a D4 State Champion. The All State DE was a force off the edge in 2024. His speed once in the backfield allowed him to make a ton of chase down tackles and sacks. Adreyan did well playing with his hands and using his quickness to slip past OTs as soon as he was able to create a bit of separation. The athletic DE also won with sudden lateral agility to suddenly gain position to defeat a block. I love the motor, quickness, and range the edge defender demonstrated in 2024. Excited to watch him prove to be a matchup problem on the edge more in 2025.

Maybe the top talent on the St. Cat’s DL is the 6’2″ 220 lbs junior, Adrian Contreras- Ward. He has a budding frame with length that gave him the advantage in his 1 on 1 battles throughout the night. His physical tools like get off, strength, and range allowed him to disrupt play after play in the backfield. Even when he didn’t get home, the junior forced ball carriers to change direction or hesitate long enough for his teammates to swarm. Adreyan was a difficult matchup to stay in front of and to drive off the ball in the run game. I’m excited to see him develop more this offseason and be a big impact net year as a senior.
