09/08: McQuaid Jesuit vs Pittsford
What a shut out that was produced by McQuaid Jesuit when they took on Pittsford Mendon. McQuaid went into Pittsford and left with a 28-0 win as they now improved their record to 2-0 on the year. Two of the biggest plays of the game were from McQuaid’s RB John Harding John Harding 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB McQuaid | 2024 State NY . On the first play, Harding took a handoff and bounced the run to the outside to outrun the entire Pittsford Mendon defense for a 21-yard TD. On the run, John made multiple defenders miss with some quick moves as they were grabbing at his feet as he passed by. The second big play that Harding made was a 47-yard TD grab where John was able to come out of the backfield and beat his defender with a wheel route. The YAC ability was shown off at great heights for Harding. The QB for McQuaid is Will DiMarco Will DiMarco 6'0" | 205 lbs | QB McQuaid | 2025 NY who played a great game in the win. DiMarco was able to make some impressive reads and throws to keep the chains moving for his offense. One of those throws by DeMarco was an impressive 15-yard play action bootleg to JP Gianforti. McQuaid’s offense ended the game with around 383 total yards of offense.
09/08: Victor vs Webster-Thomas
In back-to-back weeks, Victor High School finds itself in my game recap as they took on Webster-Thomas. Victor did walk away with the 34-16 win over Webster-Thomas, but there were some impressive plays made by both teams in the outing. Starting with Webster-Thomas, QB Levi Kulik showed off the athletic ability that he has when he was able to scramble for a 14-yard first down run. Additionally, Kulik was able to scramble out of the pocket to launch a 35-yard TD pass to a wide-open Charlie Sciortino. Near the end of the game, Levi was also able to find Sean Meyers for a 12-yard TD in the corner of the end zone. For Victor, Adam Ruffalo Adam Ruffalo 5'11" | 160 lbs | ATH Victor | 2024 State NY once again shined when he returned a punt for a TD. Then Drevariis Yeomas also had a huge jet sweep that he took 54-yards to the house for Victor. To cap it all off, Yeomas and Ruffalo teamed up on a read option jet sweep that Ruffalo took 51-yards for the touchdown. Flipping to Victors defense, they were able to force two fumbles and did recover both to give their offense more opportunities to produce. This Victor team is a tough team with a high-flying offense that is fun to watch. Victor now is 2-0 on the year after the win, and will look to keep up the outstanding play.

09/08: Hilton vs Fairport
A hard-fought game between Fairport and Hilton on Friday night. Hilton’s defense really came to play and did so by getting after the Fairport QB Jackson Rucker Jackson Rucker 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Fairport | 2024 State NY . The pressure that Hilton defenders were able to produce really put a toll on the Fairport offense. Controlling Fairport’s offense certainly was a main point of emphasis for Hilton in their 20-14 win. On one play LB John DiBattisto was able to jump a route to make an INT that he returned deep into Fairport territory. It was an outstanding read by DiBattisto and was a big play that contributed to the Hilton success. Offensively for Hilton, their electric RB Robert Lowery had a monster game. On one of the scores, Lowery was able to bounce off a tackle and run the opposite direction for a 10-yard TD rush. Furthermore, in the 3rd quarter, Lowery had a 48-yard TD run. Lowery found the hole right near the C-gap where he was able to take off with straight speed into the end zone. There was also a nice quick stiff arm delivered by Robert to help him get into the end zone. The game ended with Lowery scoring in OT to put Fairport away. Hilton ended the game with 201 rushing yards and had only 16 passing yards. A very gritty game and a win for Hilton on the road.

09/08: Greece Arcadia vs Spencerport
What a game from Greece Arcadia and Spencerport on 09/08 where the final score read 39 to 38 with Greece Arcadia leaving with the win. One of the biggest playmakers and the player of the game for Greece Arcadia was Dashaun McClemmon Dashaun McClemmon 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Greece Arcadia | 2024 State NY who impacted all three units on the football field. For special teams, McClemmon returned a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns, out running the entire Spencerport special team’s unit. The solo tackling on McClemmon was no easy task for the Spencerport defense as Dashaun broke many tackles on multiple big time runs. You know that McClemmon is one special type of player when he is also effective lining up as a WR and hearing the crowd shout “get him!” every time he touched the ball. Dashaun ended the game with 6 scores! McClemmon was also a factor on the defensive side of the ball, diving into the Spencerport backfield making TFL’s for his team. Obviously, feeding McClemmon the ball is a good game plan going into any game for Greece Arcadia. For Spencerport, they did put some points on the board, and made some impressive plays including a block punt that was picked up for a TD by Jahyleen Quick Jahyleen Quick 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Spencerport | 2024 State NY . Quick was able to make some impressive runs, including a TD run where he was able to beat the defenders to the boundary. There was also a rush by Quick where he was able to shoot through the middle of the defense for six. A complete battle between both teams which is always fun to see.

University Prep got on the board first with a 9-yard TD pass to Tyrell Simmons Tyrell Simmons 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR University Prep | 2024 State NY . It was a great route by Simmons where the quickness showed. It was a quick slant route where Simmons was able to leap in front of two Canandaigua defenders to make the catch. Later on in the game, QB Tavion Byrd Tavion Byrd 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB University Prep | 2025 State NY was able to deliver a 39-yard strike to WR Juelz Russell Juelz Russell 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR University Prep | 2024 State NY on the deep right boundary of the field. Russell simply ran away from the defender, and Byrd hit him in stride. To cap it all off for University Prep, their RB C.J. Robinson C.J.
