Benny Liles III, a 6-foot wide receiver from Kingsway, put his deep speed on full display during the Phil Simms High School All-Star Classic. Early in the game, he nearly connected on a deep route, showcasing his ability to beat defenders with his speed, though the ball was just out of reach. He capitalized on his next opportunity, running another deep route and making a spectacular catch in the back of the end zone for a touchdown. Liles demonstrated his potential as a deep threat, adept at tracking the football and creating separation.
Additionally, he proved his versatility by securing a couple of crucial first downs, showing that he can also be a reliable possession receiver in clutch moments. Benny will continue to hone his skills this fall as he takes his talents to the next level at Kutztown University, with high hopes for further improvement. He ended the day winning offensive MVP for the South.

was an absolute mismatch for all defensive backfields this season. Catching for 1078 yards and 15 touchdowns, the Kingsway receiver used his quick feet to tie up defender’s legs and create the separation he needed to make it an easy throw for his QB. An elusive receiver, Benny was extremely impressive once the ball was in his hands. He has a powerful lower body that allows him to move laterally with speed and finesse.

Starting off today’s watchlist is a South Jersey talent that I have had the opportunity to watch first hand, live-in-action this camp season. As long as Kingsway, off to a 3-1 start, has Liles suited up and ready to go they have a chance in every game. Through four games this season, the senior is slashing 17/415/6 through the air. This includes a 7 catch, 197 yard and 3 touchdown performance to open the season and a 28-0 victory where I suspect he was pulled early. He is projected to annihilate last year’s 29/536/8 line.

Liles was an athlete I got a good look at this camp season live and in person. Make no mistake about it: Liles does more than just camp well – this kid balls. Teammate Tommy Popoff Tommy Popoff 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Kingsway | 2024 NJ ‘s favorite target on the day, Liles caught 7 balls for a whopping 28.1 yards per reception. He finished with 197 yards and 3 scores. Another way to look how dominant he was is that he accounted for just under 83% of Kingsway’s passing output, while the rest of his teammates totaled just 42 receiving yards. Can Liles replicate the success Degraffenreidt had against Williamstown this week? Stay tuned to find out.

. There were quite a few positives that Liles demonstrated the other weekend. Firstly, his kids got ups. Time and time again he made nice grabs while high pointing the ball. Additionally, Liles exclusively makes catches with his hands and not his body. To supplement this, I saw that Liles ran very clean routes. Perhaps above all else, Liles was hand-timed running the 40-yard dash in 4.67 seconds.
