In the constant search for who the biggest and brightest stars of tomorrow are, PRZ Next stays with a constant eye towards the future of football. Here’s a look at five class of 2027 linemen, from five different states, that I’m high on today.
The Old Dominion State of Virginia always seems to be a strong source of talent on the gridiron, and Kamari Walker Kamari Walker 5’11” | 265 lbs | DL VA is just another example of that. The 5-foot-11 defensive tackle weighs about 265 pounds and uses his weight well on the field. One of the marquee aspects of Kamari’s game is that his a dominant run-stopper. With his size, strength, and explosion it is clear to see why offenses have such a hard time running against him. Kamari also moves decently well for his size. When the ball carrier is hitting the opposite A or B gaps, you will often find him fighting across the face of his blockers and making a play. Overall, Kamari is a strong, stout interior guy who has the potential to play at the next level.
Big-time two-way linemen are one of the most valuable positions in any football program. Xavier Higdon Xavier Higdon 6’3″ | 290 lbs | OL North Penn | 2027 State PA , a 6’3 and 290-pound Keystone State offensive lineman, is one of the few who already checks all of the boxes at his age. At his size, the big man had a number of private schools to choose from, but ultimately inked his name to play at Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia. Has typically been the biggest kid on the field throughout his pre-high school days and excelled in run blocking. Xavier can open up running lanes for his running backs by simply dwarfing defensive linemen in his way. Xavier also does a very good job of maintaining his blocks through the whistle, making it impossible for his opponents to even get close to the ball. There is a lot of room to go here and I’d label Higdon as a work in progress. With that said, you can’t teach the size he has. Higdon will be at a Roman Catholic program that appears to be on the rise, going 9-3 this past season–it’s first winning season in a decade. The oldest catholic school in Philly also welcomes back freshman Quarterback sensation Semaj Beals Semaj Beals 6’1″ | 155 lbs | QB Roman Catholic | 2026 State PA . Beals made the PRZ Next National Watchlist as an eighth-grader and is currently ranked the No.1 QB and No.2 overall prospect in our 2026 Pennsylvania rankings. Furthermore, leading receiver Oregon commit Tyseer Denmark Tyseer Denmark 5’11” | 180 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA , the No.1 WR & No.3 overall Pennsylvania prospect in our 2024 ranking, is also back.
Odaefe Oruru Odaefe Oruru 6’6″ | 250 lbs | OL Jenks | 2027 OK is a trench warrior to keep an eye on as he heads into his high school career. Odaefe is a BIG 6’5 and 235-pound dual-sport athlete coming out of Oklahoma football factory that is Jenks. With him being a prospect with both size and athleticism, there’s a lot to be excited about here. Also dominant on the hardwood, he generates enough upwards forcer to get up and dunk with his big frame. This translates over to the football field through the proven explosion that Oruru has. He moves well for his height, weight and length, which should have a lot of Offensive Line coaches at the next level drooling. With his frame and decent bulk right now, a year or two from now could be scary. The big man has a standing invitation for the Rising Prospect camp in Oklahoma on April 30th and we hope to see him there.

Since we originally covered Tobin in August, he’s done nothing but continue to skyrocket as a prospect in my eyes. He is a prototypical offensive lineman that has a unique combination of strength, agility, flexibility and overall athletics. The 6’3, 270-pound Michigan trench warrior is one of the strongest 2027 prospects that I have seen and translates it over to the football field. With powerful knee drive and striking ability, William is a very natural blocker in the run game. In pass protection, William is patient and has the change of direction to stick with any defensive linemen trying to get to the quarterback. He recently won the MMWA State Championship in the heavyweight class, Tobin is a very exciting prospect at offensive line. If he keeps developing on this trajectory, he looks like he’ll be one of the top 2027 Offensive Line prospects in the state.

Caleb Unger Caleb Unger 6’2″ | 280 lbs | OL MRA | 2027 State MS is no stranger to the headlines of Prep Redzone Next, as he’s a class of 2027 offensive lineman we’ve had our eye on since he was in sixth grade. At the recent Mississippi-Louisiana Southern Elite Combine, he earned high praise from coaches and evaluators in attendance despite being one of the younger athletes there. Standing at 6’2, and weighing 280 pounds, the Magnolia state product already has the frame of an ideal interior offensive lineman. He’s technician in the trenches, winning with low pad level, hand placement and a quick first step. Caleb started as an eighth-grader this past season at Madison-Ridgeland Academy, helping the Patriots to a 10-4 record. He was a key member of an offensive line unit that allowed Quarterback John White John White 6’0″ | 200 lbs | QB Madison Ridgeland Academy | 2024 State MS (committed to Southern Miss) to pass for over 3,00 yards, All-State Running Back Charles Simpson to run for over 1,000 yards, and for Wide Receiver Rivers Godwin Rivers Godwin 6’2″ | 175 lbs | WR Madison Ridgeland Academy | 2023 State MS to tally over 1,100 receiving yards.
