Jami has always had incredible upside, but injuries and other factors have limited his production. Now, he’s fully healthy and hopefully ready for that rumored breakout season.
I’m especially interested in Jami’s explosiveness. His size at 6’3″ 170 should make for a very athletic receiver who also has the height to easily win jump balls. I don’t know what types of routes Jami is going to run, but whatever he runs, I expect consistent success.

It’s been a long time coming for Jami Williams Jami Williams 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2025 State MI . A year ago, Jami was viewed as a super high-upside receiver coming off a great offseason. Today, he’s viewed the same way after honestly underperforming a bit last season. Jami has had a solid offseason, headlined by his good-looking performance at the Wayne State Mega Camp. Granted, I’ve only seen clips on Twitter, but in those clips, Jami shows off his speed and excellent catch radius. What makes me the most optimistic about this season are his athletic traits and size. Not only is he 6’3″, but Jami has the athleticism and length to develop into a lethal Division 1 Wide Receiver. I can’t wait to see what he’s able to accomplish with Catholic Central this season. Odds are, he’s going to be a key piece for a state-championship program.

According to his Twitter, Jami currently holds an offer from Central Michigan. Looking at his film, it’s extremely easy to see why a school like CMU would be intrigued. 6’3″, slim, and long limbs passes the eye test and then some. He truly has the measurables to intrigue any Division 1 school. Jami is a decent route runner, and has decent explosiveness off the line of scrimmage. He’s also incredible at climbing the ladder for 50/50 balls. He’s good at earning yards after catch, but that aspect could also be improved. I think of Jami like a taller Devonta Smith. He plays with the same style and has that sort of upside if he improves his explosiveness.

I got to see Jami work as a sophomore in the playoffs last year, but I came away most impressed when I watched him at the MSU camp, where he was making contested, difficult catches left and right. He did lead GRCC’s receiving group, and this year he is bound to really turn heads. He impressed in the agility drills also, where his footwork was top notch and speed really stood out. Going into his junior year with as much experience as he already has, I think he is in for a huge year. I left East Lansing impressed with Williams, and I think he needs more attention right now, as he will be highly sought after.
