Blake Ewert Blake Ewert 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB South Range | 2024 State OH has once again put together an impactful campaign from the running back position to help his team win a lot of football games. The one-cut back is on the cusp of a 2,000 yard season, just needs 66 more yards to surpass the milestone, with 21 touchdowns on the season. Ewert is a veteran back that knows how to wait behind his offensive line before using his burst to hit the second level with regularity. Is a back that knows his body well to take contact and maintain his running stance for yardage after contact. Is a dangerous back between the tackles, but has the speed to hit the edge and keep working upfield. His open space speed allows him to make big plays once he reaches daylight. Has good vision to see openings behind the line and commits to them with his speed. Ewert has been a player that has been improving every time he steps on the field with a good team around him to support him. He is as hard to stop even with a game plan against him as any player in the state. The Raiders’ offense runs through Ewert.

The gem of a state championship offense, Ewert shows good patience behind his offensive line and can get into the second level in a hurry. His speed in open space impresses as he gains separation and can score quickly. His compact size gives him good balance and can absorb hits while keeping his feet going to gain more yardage. Ewert shows no hesitation when a hole opens and accelerates hard to get the most out of each opportunity. Ewert earns his role by putting in the hard yards with each carry he gets and rushed for over 1,000 yards last season. With more carries in his senior year, Ewert’s production should yield even bigger numbers.
