For all of the great things you can say about Jaxson as a player, most of all he’s a big effort guy. He’s really never out of the play, and his motor can go for days. He does a fantastic job of shaking blockers rather than just trying to blow through them. He has a great get off on his first step, he keeps his eye on his gap only, and can straight up ruin offensive. He’s disruptive, he’s a leader and is someone that colleges are really starting to take note of! Someone is going to get a good one.

Jaxson was as advertised on Friday. He had a fumble recovery that proved to be huge, and he came up with a sack when his team needed it most. Engelberg is going to be playing on Saturdays next year for sure, and with another productive year like last season, he could have a lot of options. His motor is high, he’s really athletic for his size, and he fires off the ball hard. I hope I can catch him in action later in the season to see even more improvement, which I expect from him as I know he is a hard worker.

Another high motor guy with a lot of upside is Jaxson Engelburg. He’s got the thing you can’t teach- size- paired with a quick get off and a variety of moves. He’s starting to get some college attention with offers from LTU and others. I would be shocked if those don’t pick up substantially this fall, as he is poised to have a breakout year. His roll is increasing, and I know he put some time in this offseason to get better. I hope to get my eyes on him again this season and see what he has improved upon!
