About Zane
Expert Analysis
Alin Edouard | Prep Redzone Scout
Zane is a disruptive defensive lineman who consistently shows up in every phase of the defense, and his production 72 total tackles, 8.0 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions matches exactly what you see on film. He plays with a high motor and is constantly around the football, whether he’s working through blocks in the trenches or chasing plays down from the backside.
Against the run, Zane is physical at the point of attack and does a good job holding his ground while still shedding to finish tackles. He doesn’t stay blocked long and shows the effort to fight through contact and close space quickly. As a pass rusher, he brings steady pressure with a mix of effort and timing, consistently collapsing the pocket and forcing quarterbacks into uncomfortable situations, which explains his sack production.
What really separates him is his awareness and playmaking ability. The interceptions show his instincts and ability to recognize screens, tips, and throwing lanes rare traits for a defensive lineman. The forced fumbles come from his aggressive finishing style, always attacking the ball when he gets to the carrier.
Overall, Zane is a high impact defensive lineman with production, instincts, and effort that translate directly to winning football. As a committed member of the Oregon Ducks, he brings a versatile and disruptive presence that can affect games in multiple ways, not just as a pass rusher but as a true defensive playmaker.
