Carter is entering 2026 poised for a full-time leadership role and ready to take over as the Wildcat quarterback. After showing consistent production and flashes of high-level play, he steps into the new season with confidence, experience, and the tools to run the offense at a higher level.
On film, Carter stands out for his clean mechanics and controlled approach in the pocket. He delivers the ball with a compact, repeatable motion and maintains balance through his throws, which helps him stay accurate to all levels of the field. Whether it’s quick-game timing routes or deeper concepts downfield, he consistently puts the ball in a position where his receivers can make plays.
His pocket presence is another key part of his game. Carter stays composed under pressure, keeps his eyes downfield, and shows the ability to slide or step into throws without panicking. He doesn’t drift unnecessarily, which allows him to stay efficient and execute the offense even when the protection breaks down.
Heading into a full 2026 season as the expected leader of the Wildcat offense, Carter has a real opportunity to take a major step forward. With offers from Houston, UTSA, and Baylor, college programs are already seeing a quarterback who combines mechanics, poise, and steady decision-making — now with a chance to elevate his game as a full-time star
