Big and physical with secondary versatility, Jimcoily has been a hot name on the recruiting trail for the better part of two years but soon, this Nashville native will be taking himself off the market as decides between a final four of Alabama, LSU, Stanford and Tennessee. The Mustangs senior defender brings college size to the field along with nice range and the ability to make some punishing hits. Jimcoily is a well built young man that will need to continue developing his speed as he tries to stick at safety. I can see a possibility where this Nashville native grows into that “Star” position player that plays in the middle quarter of the defense as a slash linebacker/defensive back. It will be interesting to see how Jimcoily progresses over this Fall season and what he does moving forward into the college game.

A multi talented defender that can play a variety of roles within the secondary, Jimcoily played significant snaps as a sophomore last year on the Mustangs 2022 championship team but this year, the 6 ‘1 junior will be looking to make a statement as one of the teams top defensive players. Jimcoily is a well built young man that looks the part of a safety and that may be where he ends up in college but he is fast enough with technique sound game play that can allow him to play on the outside. The great thing about this Mid-Tennessee product is that he will get bigger and faster as he continues to mature with two years of HS ball remaining. His stock is already high on the national scene, so at this point it’s all about Jimcoily developing further and maintaining his status.

C.J. Jimcoily C.J. Jimcoily 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB Lipscomb Academy | 2025 State TN is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback out of Lipscomb Academy and he is a really fluid press man DB. He possesses a good quick twitch with nice footwork to mirror and match wide receivers with ease. Good understanding of leverage, he squeezes WR’s to the sidelines using his size and technique to dictate their routes. Jimcoily displays very good aggressiveness and physical toughness to beat blocks and make tackles. In zone coverage and off man, he displays superb click and close. Good versatility in coverage and can play safety very well.
