Stats: 17 Carries, 124 Yards, 1 TD
Senior RB Brad Jacobson is getting his highlights published from the season so far, and we had to take a look. The explosive senior was difficult to contain as he constantly attacked the edges of the defense. His speed allowed him to get outside of the contain defender with ease and then get upfield. Bradley also showed patience when attacking the outside gaps, letting blockers get to their spots then accelerating. Definitely give the senior RB a watch.

I think it is a matter of time before we see things start to roll for Bradley. I have been very excited for his senior season as he will be back on varsity after moving before the 2023 season. The senior RB is an electric runner and receiving threat out of the backfield and once he proves it vs good varsity competition he will start turning heads. Everything you look for in a back that will be a change of pace or third down option Bradley has. He has the long speed to create the big plays. He has the vision and agility in tight quarters to make defenders miss in a phone booth. The incoming senior has a nose for the endzone too. When he gets the ball in his hands he has great instincts to get him to where he wants to be. Get eyes on him early in the season and see if the potential steal is a good fit for your team.

Coming in at RB4 is a different type of back compared to the top 3, but Bradley is a mismatch in his own way. The 5’8″ 175 lbs RB plays at a different speed than the rest of the field. Both long speed and in tight quarters. When in a crowd, Bradley demonstrates his explosive lateral agility and quick feet to be able to juke or cut around defenders and then accelerate to top speed so he can pull away in the open field. Jacobson also has the instincts and speed combination that allows him to find the running lane to green grass between the hash and sideline. Once out there we see the speed that doesn’t get chased down by pursuit angles. His ability as a mismatch also shows up in the passing game where he is able to get the ball out in space and again be a nightmare to contain. Furthering his value, we see him make an impact on special teams. Undersized athletes need to find multiple ways to be an impact and Bradley is doing that. I’m excited to see him on Friday nights.

Because of a move and school change Bradley had to play at the JV level this past fall. That quickly proved to be a lopsided fight very quickly. The junior ended the year with 1,309 rushing yards, 15 TDs, 233 receiving yards, and another 3 TDs. He also returned a kick for another score, giving him 20 on the year. What is even more exciting for RB4 in the Class is that the top 4 leading rushers on the team from 2023 all are graduating. So the workload is there for a talented athlete to step up and take.
Right now it is looking like Bradley is in a great position to step up and take on that workload. I hope that happens because I want to see how that skill set that dominated the JV level translates. The tape is fun to watch. Bradley has a second gear in the open field that allows him to pull away from the field. He plays at a different speed than everyone else and clearly stands out from the crowd. Bradley also sees the field very well. He finds his aiming point, sets up blocks, finds lanes and then lets his superior athleticism dominate. When he sticks his foot in the ground to get upfield we see a strong explosive burst of acceleration. The playmaker made it look easy last fall. I can’t wait to see him take the field in 2024.

Stock Movement: Up 77 SpotsrnThis offseason we saw Bradley make the move to DeForest. I have high expectations for the incoming junior to break out this fall. He has the talent to do so. This offseason Bradley has also shown how freakish of an athlete he is. That includes a nearly 42″ vertical jump, and a sub 4.7 40 time. On the field you see that explosiveness show up in his lateral agility and acceleration. Bradley is difficult to contain in space and once he gets an alley you see that 4.68 40 speed. I’m excited to see what he does against a consistently high level of competition this fall at DeForest.

Stats: 19 Carries, 76 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 Reception, 39 Yards, 1 TDrnThe 5’8″ 150 lbs sophomore RB has carved a solid workload this season for Pardeeville. He has amassed nearly 400 yards of total offense along with 6 total TDs.
After watching through the highlights from Week 5 it is clear that Bradley is working himself into the type of athlete who can make an impact at the next level as a change of pace or third down back. He thrives out in space, and it positions where he can use his burst and quickness. Between the tackles Jacobson has multiple examples this week of his ability to burst through tight running lanes before they close. Outside the tackles, Bradley has the speed to maximize the green grass in front of him. The athletic traits have also made him a 30.3 yards per return punt returner. Keep an eye on Bradley the next few years. With continued hard work he could be a complete game changer by his senior year.
