Breaking down the best players at each position in one of the best conferences in the state top to bottom.

1st Team Offense

Quarterback-[player_tooltip player_id='736040' first='Bryce' last='Backus'], Caledonia

Bryce has been on time and on target in his teams 5-0 start. He's been the most clutch QB making the right play game after game. I believe his stock has completely risen through the first half of the season.

Running Back-Jeremiah Edwards-Tate, West Ottawa

Jeremiah has been a workhorse for the West Ottawa Offense. He's been a tough tackle through the first 5 weeks of the season, he's also shown he can be a threat in the pass game as well.

Tight End-[player_tooltip player_id='1615744' first='Grayam' last='Beyer'], Grand Haven

Grayams play has been just as big as his stature! He's shown great versatility as a playmaker and continues to prove he is a legit inline tight end recruit.

Slot Receiver-[player_tooltip player_id='1688248' first='Stephan' last='Jones'], East Kentwood

Stephan is an absolute matchup nightmare for any defense. With the ability to run straight past you and have strong hands at the point of attack, he plays the slot position exactly how it is intended.

Wide Receiver-[player_tooltip player_id='1613859' first='Amani' last='Frierson'], Grand Haven

Amanis route running ability has been on full display every single game. He easily gets to his spots and continues to put immense pressure on opposing defenses.

Wide Receiver-[player_tooltip player_id='1613796' first='Owen' last='Holt'], Rockford

Owen has been a do it all receiver for his Rams Offense. He is a big play waiting to happen with the rock in his hands. Whether it is a catch and run around the line of scrimmage or if he's catching a bomb down field.

Offensive Tackle-[player_tooltip player_id='1698722' first='Henry' last='Luth'], Rockford

Luth has been one of the most impressive prospects overall. He has continuously stymied violent pass rushes and blitzes coming off the edge using his overall length and strength.

Offensive Guard-Luke Wojtas, Hudsonville

Luke uses his leverage, motor and strength to clean up defenders and create holes for the multiple playmakers on his team. He pulls around the edge with a head fully of steam and bad intentions.

Center-Brayden Huizen, Grandville

Brayden does a great job anchoring his OLine in the straight T offense. He has really good size and great movements to back block and clear second level defenders.

Offensive Guard-Leland Crosky, East Kentwood

Leland can be considered the best overall lineman on the best overall offense in the state. He's been monumental in the run game for EK that has broken many long runs already in the first half of the season.

Offensive Tackle-Chris Lovelady, East Kentwood

Chris has been very technically sound protecting the blindsided of his QB. He's been really effective in his pass sets, giving his QB enough time, directly leading to EK being one of the best offenses in the entire state!

Stay tuned for more All Conference articles coming soon.
