This is a class that will go down in the history books as one of the best in state history. We've updated our 2027 rankings to include the Top 200 prospects in the state. We have a ton of individual breakdowns dropping every day to spotlight some of those special prospects. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the defensive line position and we have six guys that are all committed to D1 programs right now. Three guys checked in as top 20 overall prospects in this deep class. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2027 individual breakdowns!

Interior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='473952' first='Joseph' last='Graves'] has made his way back to the state of Oklahoma after transferring from IMG Academy to Booker T. Washington. Graves last suited up for the Hornets during his sophomore season, when Booker T. Washington made a run to the second round of the playoffs. He made a significant impact that season, and now he returns with the opportunity to dominate the trenches during his senior year. Graves is a physical defensive lineman who can make life difficult for opposing offensive lines. He does an excellent job plugging up the middle and is extremely difficult to handle one-on-one when aligned in a shade technique. When he lines up as a strong-side 3-technique, his combination of size and strength makes him a difficult player to double-team as well. What stands out about Graves is his ability to control the line of scrimmage and create problems for the offense while allowing his teammates to make plays around him. His physicality and presence in the interior should make him a major piece of the Booker T. Washington defense this season. After his senior season, Graves will continue his football career at the next level with the Kansas State Wildcats.

This talented defensive lineman, [player_tooltip player_id='1171159' first='Kyng' last='Golston'], is slated to stay home and play at the next level for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. After transferring from Valliant, he will now suit up for Broken Bow during his senior season, giving the Savages another versatile and disruptive piece along the defensive front. He is another defensive lineman who can line up in multiple spots across the front and create problems for opposing offenses. His get-off immediately stands out, and he plays with a strong base and good leverage at the point of attack. He consistently finds his way into the opponent's backfield and has the athleticism to make plays from different alignments. One of the first things that jumped out to me on his junior film was just how athletic he is for a defensive lineman. He plays with a physical, aggressive style at the point of contact and does a good job using his hands to shed blocks and create penetration. With his versatility, athleticism, and physicality, he should be a major factor for Broken Bow during his senior season before continuing his career at Tulsa.

Defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1035135' first='DaWayne' last='Jones'] has returned to Owasso High School after spending the last few seasons at Booker T. Washington, returning to the program where he originally came from. Jones is already committed to play at the next level at Kansas State, and his ability to disrupt an offense is easy to see on film. Jones has the versatility to line up anywhere across the defensive front and create problems for opposing offenses. It will be interesting to see how Owasso utilizes him and where he lines up from play to play. His get-off immediately stands out, allowing him to create penetration and put offensive linemen in difficult situations. I really like how Jones uses his hands at the point of contact and combines that with his quickness and pass-rush technique. He consistently finds his way into the opponent's backfield and has the ability to affect both the run and passing game. With his versatility, quickness, and technical ability, Jones gives Owasso a major weapon along the defensive front heading into the season.

Defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1171162' first='Cadriann' last='Olds'] is a player I had the opportunity to watch this offseason during our Friday Film Review, and he immediately caught my attention. Olds transferred from Edmond North and will now suit up for Booker T. Washington, bringing a versatile skill set to the defensive front. The first thing that stood out to me on film was his versatility along the defensive line. Olds has the frame to play inside at the high school level, but he also possesses the athleticism and quickness to line up at defensive end and create problems off the edge. I really like his get-off and how quickly he can get around the tackle once he gets into his pass-rush move. Olds also does a good job using his hands at the point of attack and shows the ability to make quick decisions in the run game. His combination of size, athleticism, quickness, and technique gives Booker T. Washington another versatile piece up front. It will be interesting to see where Olds lines up alongside [player_tooltip player_id='473952' first='Joseph' last='Graves'] and how disruptive the two can be for opposing offenses this season. Olds is committed to play football at the next level for Baylor.

Jenks defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1297665' first='Luke' last='McInelly'] put together an impressive season in 6A-I, recording 79 tackles, 24 quarterback hurries, and 9 sacks. McInelly is committed to continue his football career at the next level with Navy, and his production and versatility up front make it easy to see why. McInelly does an excellent job with his movements along the defensive front, working into different gaps and creating confusion for opposing offensive linemen. He has a strong pass rush and does a good job recognizing screens, allowing him to stay disciplined while still attacking the football. What really stands out to me is McInelly's motor and how well he moves for a defensive lineman. He competes through every snap and does an impressive job fighting through double teams without giving up ground. He plays with a strong base and generates good knockback at the point of contact. I also really like his arm extension and ability to use his hands to keep offensive linemen off his frame and shed blocks. With his production, motor, technique, and ability to handle multiple blockers, McInelly is a disruptive defensive lineman who should be an exciting player to watch as he prepares for the next level at Navy.

The next defensive lineman we are going to talk about is [player_tooltip player_id='1262599' first='Oakley' last='Caruthers'] from Norman High School. Caruthers is currently committed to continue his football career at the next level with Air Force and has received multiple offers from Ivy League programs and other Division I schools. A multi-sport athlete who also competes in wrestling, Caruthers brings that athleticism and physicality to the defensive front. One of the first things that stands out on film is his ability to get off the ball and play with good leverage. He shows strong extension at the point of attack and does a good job getting off blocks quickly. When teams try to run away from him, Caruthers does a great job getting to the heel line and taking a good pursuit angle running the rail to track down the ball carrier. As a pass rusher, Caruthers has a strong bull rush that allows him to put offensive linemen on their heels and create opportunities to get into the backfield. He also shows good technique when working off blocks and has the strength to fight through double teams without giving up ground. His combination of leverage, strength, technique, and athleticism makes Caruthers a disruptive defensive lineman and an intriguing prospect heading to Air Force.
