The star back and position MVP picked up two offers this past Saturday as we shared in our previous articles. The reason he was our MVP was pretty straightforward. The power/speed combination was very impressive during the individual period and cat/mouse drill vs. Linebackers, where college coaches were watching intently, and his performance against linebackers in the passing game 1 on 1s. That's where Thomas-Wright showed he can be a true three-down back in a.standard offense.

Jamarcus is a power back, and in these settings it can be tough to show what you do best if that's your strength. But what I think Jamarcus did do was prove that he can hang in there with the more speedy and slippery type backs in general. Jamarcus is also a defensive lineman for the Rams, so providing that added value is always a good thing, plus colleges can look at you first and kind of get a feeling where you best fit with their program also.

Shawn has performed well in the showcase on multiple occasions, and his speed and agility were on display all day throughout the showcase. I feel like Shawn definitely got bigger as he prepares to carry a big load offensively for the Hawks this season.. I enjoyed Shawn's footwork going through one on one passing drills against linebackers most specifically. I think the Hawks will be creative on how to use his skill set in his senior season

Emory has been all over our rankings after busting on to the scene two years ago in helping the Lions' win a state championship. With a new head coach known for making strong running games work, Emory is in a big position to possibly have a career year in his senior season. Emory has definitely gotten bigger, but he still shows very good speed and agility going through drills in the agility circuit most notably. Expect Emory to also run.through some weak tackle attacks all season long, as I love the diversity of his game with the football in his hands.

I have heard some good things before about Jamari, and this setting allowed him to show how good he is in the open field.. He's received some.carriea before, but he's played behind some upper class men who were pretty good in their own right. One thing I always like to see with running backs is where do their eyes "live" with the football in their hands. Going through drills during the individual period, Jamari's eyes are consistently looking down the field for the next cut or defender to elude. I also like his acceleration out of cuts that I saw during the agility drill circuit.

I did not know much about Liam coming into this showcase, but in a very good group of backs with some big names in attendance, Liam made a strong impression on the coaching staff with his consistency in every portion of the showcase. I really liked the effort and intensity Liam put into every rep he had. And it helps that Liam is very fluid with his movements. JM Robinson is a team that likes to get multiple backs the ball in their offense, so Liam has a chance to be a strong contributor going into his sophomore season - something most backs at that level don't get to do on a regular basis.
