Day 1, he instantly caught my eye with his poise. I liked how he got to his reads, his ball placement, and the timing in which he operated. Everything looked in sync with his teammates. Crudup is a good-looking player, looking all of 6'1 180, and actually playing bigger thanks to his long, cut frame. He came out of the gate firing, confidently rifling the ball into tight coverage and calmly operating in a fast-paced offense. Even without immediately catching eyes, the kid just made plays. He helped nickel and dime his squad down the field with the right reads, accurate throws, and good timing with his receivers. Cater was a rising senior and was the first QB I saw on day 1 that really screamed D1 tools. He is a compact, strong player who can put some heat on the ball. It wasn't just the fastball, either. He tapped into different touches and trajectories to layer and bend the ball around defenders. I was confident in his ability to make every throw on the field, and that is exactly what he flashed all tournament. On day 1 specifically, I really thought he turned heads. Similar to Cater, Solley was an early eye-catcher of a long run of D1 caliber QBs that proved. He is all of 6'2 190, and given his physical traits and clean mechanics, the ball just looked different coming off his hand. Every throw was achievable for this kid, and he did so while operating under control and staying in the moment.
