PRZGA Prospect Tour: Coach MVPs, Defense

He came out this past weekend and once again proved to be one of the most disruptive IDL prospects in the state. He is on the shorter side, hovering around 6'0, but his bag of moves and juice runs deeper than most players I've seen, especially up close. He is still waiting to crack the seal and break onto the varsity scene, but he proved capable of winning at the point of attack against good blockers over the weekend. Similar to other MVPs in the group, he is on the shorter side, but his explosiveness and feistiness help him win. There is proof of concept with him as well, as he was an active, unsung hero on the Rome defense as a junior. When the pads are on, he can hold and control the point. He is listed at around 6'0 215, and he is built into that frame with a cut figure. He is just a really well-developed player who performed well in each phase at camp. He drew my attention during testing, where his explosiveness and change of direction stood out amongst the crowd. He has generated some buzz over the last few months and answered a lot of questions over the weekend, setting the stage for his recruitment. This kid is only going to get better as he bulks up, which he has plenty of space to do so. He was amongst our top tested across each category, and coaches raved about him throughout the entire camp, thanks to his explosiveness and change of direction. He moves really well, which should help him compensate for his size. He is listed at around 5'10, but he is lean and long, which helps him attack and play the ball. Blackwell was just a really consistent player during competition, matching routes well and always remaining around the catch point. Tillmon played with a lot of effort in competition, which worked to his benefit. He got physical at the line, stuck in coverage, but he turned on the jets and worked hard to close space when receivers did get a little space to work. Tillmon has junior tape to his name, so the stage of his recruitment is set as he heads into his senior season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
