Carl Albert running back [player_tooltip player_id='693905' first='Delijah' last='Matthews'] is the runaway favorite for Breakout Player Of The Year in 2025 and it shouldn't be a surprise that he jumped up ten spots and is knocking on the door of being a Top 15 overall prospect in this class. Matthews has been patiently waiting for his opportunity and has certainly made the most of it this season. He has a chance to break some single season records for the Titans this season and his recruitment should absolutely blow up after this season. The more his junior film makes the rounds in December and January, we have a feeling that Matthews will become one of the hotter prospects in Oklahoma. We've said this a few times but it was only a matter of time before Matthews became that elite RB prospect in this class.

The second of two Carl Albert Titans on this breakdown is [player_tooltip player_id='1680084' first='Makauri' last='Johnson'] and he can do a little bit of everything. Because of that, he's moved up 12 spots in the latest update and is knocking on the door of being a Top 20 overall prospect. This season, while the Titans have definitely been a run-first team, Johnson has emerged as a threat in the passing game. Then he's turned around and looked really solid on the defensive side of the ball. Johnson doesn't have the stats that some of the other prospects on this breakdown have but he does have the look of a next level athlete. We watched him in person back in the spring and he looks very similar to some of the guys that Carl Albert has sent to the next level. He's still raw but there's a lot of potential there.

This is the second straight ranking update that we've vaulted Norman North running back [player_tooltip player_id='1298836' first='Byron' last='Mason'] up the list. In the summer, he made a huge jump after we got to watch him in person in the spring. And this fall, he's made another one, going up 17 spots, into the top 30 and starting to knock on the door of being the top RB in this class. Mason is an incredibly fun athlete to watch because he can do everything out of the backfield. You start with the running game and Mason has been very productive there. He's also a huge threat for Norman North as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He does all the little things well and that's opened the door for him to make big plays on Fridays. Mason continues to impress us every time we see him.

Mount St. Mary running back and defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1680641' first='Chris' last='Tschudy'] joined our 2027 rankings back in the summer after we got a chance to watch him in person in the spring. We saw him in action a couple weeks ago and he looked even better than he did in May. Because of that, Tschudy has jumped up 13 spots and is now in the Top 50 for this class. Offensively, he is one of the more patient power runners that we've seen this year. That's something that has always stood out to us and continues to do so. Defensively, he's coming off the edge as a defensive end and can absolutely wreck shop on any given play. We've seen him in person twice now and there is no doubt that he's a guy that can play at the next level. But we don't know what position is the best fit.

Broken Bow linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1171160' first='Kade' last='Pratt'] is our final prospect on this breakdown. He's jumped up nearly 20 spots and he's now in the Top 50 and he continues to climb the LB rankings and that's a position group that we really like and is getting deeper and deeper. Pratt made the move from Idabel to Broken Bow this offseason and it has paid off in a big way. Broken Bow is one of the top contenders in their class but for Pratt, he's become the leader of this Broken Bow defense. All eyes go to the explosive playmakers they have on offense but when you really watch what they do, Pratt sets the tone on defense and the team feeds off that. He's a hard hitter with a nose for the football and if his game continues to grow, the ceiling for him as a prospect will grow as well.
