This was a game that I had circled on the calendar from early on in the season and it absolutely lived up to the expectations. Winton Woods came into the game 7-1 and sitting as one of the top teams in Division 1 Region 4. Anderson came in undefeated and the top ranked team in a strong Ohio Division 2. After a back-and-forth game that saw many momentum swings, Anderson came out on top with a 37-30 win over the Warriors. Let's take a look at the some of the top performers from the game.

Kathman was catching balls all night long as he led the Raptors in receptions with 10 for 93 yards. Cooper is a long and shifty receiver who gets strong releases and does a great job of getting in and out of his breaks and creating separation. He's a natural hands catcher who can catch the ball in stride and be ready to make a move. I like him as a Z at the next level who's a versatile guy with an extensive route tree who can be moved around the formation.

Davis (pictured above) was the offensive MVP on the evening for Anderson. He made numerous plays both on the ground and through the air that seem to come on key moments on big drives. Jordan finished with 8 catches for 101 yards through the air and 17 rushes for 78 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Davis is an explosive runner who runs with a low center of gravity and has strong contact balance. He's a strong one cut runner who can make the first guy miss and get up field in a hurry. His ability to be a threat in as a receiver out of the backfield makes him a guy who can be a three down back at the next level. Davis holds offers from, Kent State, Miami (OH), and Toledo.

Scalf did a great job operating the Raptor offense. He was always on time and did a great job making his way through his progressions and finding the right read. Owen finished the evening 33 of 42 for 342 yards. He also had. A 22 yard touchdown on a QB keeper. He showed ability to throw to all three levels of the field. He was able to put the ball on his receivers in a position where they were able to make plays after the catch. For a quarterback in his first year of starting varsity at the moment, never looked too fast or too big for him. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can put on film in the playoffs.

I thought Tye had a really strong night. He's a fluid athlete who has loose hips. His back pedal to turn and run is smooth. When the ball is in the air he does a good job of playing the ball and not the man. He's comfortable playing in press or off coverage. Tye currently holds 5 MAC offers from Ohio, BGSU, Toledo, and Kent State.

Madden lined up at safety for the Raptors. He's a twitchy safety who has excellent ball skills. What really excited me was that he showed me elite P4 type of closing speed and ball skills. Those traits especially showed up on a Winton Woods pass play where Madden closed on an outbreaking play dove and knocked down a well placed throw that had some zip on it. He has a chance not just to be a good free safety at the next level, but one that can excel at taking the ball away on the P4 level. Those are highly coveted players for college Defensive Coordinators. Madden has P4 offers from Indiana and Kentucky, along with a handful of G5 schools. I would be shocked with his junior film, though if he does not pick up more P4 offers this offseason.

Weaver showed some of the explosive traits that show up all over his film. He has quick cut mobility getting in and out of his brakes. Once he creates a little separation, he has the explosive speed to get deep. His ball skills are top end. He has the size and strength to play through physicality. With some strong post season and film I think he could start to get some D1 interest.
