Jones is a 2-way player who has had success on both sides of the ball. He’s just a good natural athlete with good range and acceleration. On offense, he’s got decent ball skills and is good with the ball in his hands. He’s good in the screen game and can make something out of nothing. Defensively, he glides all over the field and has good closing speed. He doesn’t hesitate and trusts what he sees. He’s well-coached, and it shows time and time again. Year 2 saw him put up 301 receiving yards and 2 TDs on offense, with 47 tackles and 5 interceptions on the defensive side of the ball over his last 15 games.

Jones already has a good build for his age, and that caught my attention right away. I saw him at some 7-on-7 this spring, and he showed good hands coming out of the backfield, which adds a lot of value to his game. He moves well in space and looks comfortable catching the ball, not something you always see in younger backs, so I’ll be curious to see how year 2 goes.
