The 6’4 200 pounder, has really elevated his game from a development perspective even since the 2025 season ended. What I gathered from the eval, is Karsen showed to grow a ton with his balance he had with his footwork, especially from what I saw in his throws from outside of the pocket. It was also evident with his timing with his release that this young man has put in a ton of work this offseason, especially working out of the pocket. Karsen picked up his first scholarship offer from Bemidji State on Saturday and I am sure that won’t be the first one that comes his way as we head into summer camps.

I think it’s safe to say his work with 612Q’s is coming together and paying off, as Herman, your overall MVP and QB MVP, had a tremendous showing, catching and holding the eye of every DII program in attendance. I’m assuming it was easy for the scholarship programs to imagine Herman – with his 6’4, 200 lb. frame – standing in the pocket against NSIC defensive linemen and delivering strong, accurate footballs thanks to that cannon of an arm attached to his right shoulder. His overall size and natural arm strength, as well as in-synch lower & upper body, helped Herman generate noticeable boom and a ton of power on his throws, and the Waconia product could stretch the field easier than other QB in attendance. Plus, Herman was getting the ball out quickly, consistent in his timing and mechanics, and very accurate, showing off impressive overall command of the football and the route tree. Bemidji State’s talented OC/QB coach Jordan Hein offered Herman after the camp due to his performance, joining Northern State on his growing offer sheet. The Waconia Wildcats always seem to have beef in their high school football program, and the 5A competitor is led at the QB position by a tall drink of water in 6’4, 200+ lb. junior Karsen Herman Karsen Herman 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Waconia | 2027 State MN . After helping Waconia to a 5-4 record in 2025, Herman has been playing well on the ice for the Wildcats 11-11 varsity squad as a defenseman, posting 15 points off 7 goals and 8 assists in 27 games this winter, which saw its campaign end on Thursday, the 19th, 0-6 to Delano.

PRZMN recently got an in-depth look at the junior during the 612Q’s Elite Academy throwing session last Sunday, where Herman and his fellow talented MN gunslingers focused on off-platform throws, but for this specific multi-sport feature we’ll be breaking down the Wildcats‘ 2027 signal-caller’s junior season tape! Big, tall, poised strong pocket-passer with a cannon of a deep ball that can stretch the field and drop the ball right in the breadbasket of the streaking receiver. Throws to only where the receiver can make a play on it and leads the wideout open, and is also dangerous with his legs and does show some juice and splash-play ability when he tucks and takes off. Plus, he can extend plays with his legs and is accurate on the move. Not to mention the fact that Herman owns a frame that could transform into monstrous proportions in a college S&C program.

Coming off a good season in the 5A ranks with Waconia, junior QB Karsen Herman is a legit 6’4 with a ton of room to fill in, looking and flashing the part of a traditional, big-bodied, pocket-passer that college offensive programs love so much. With one of the biggest arms in attendance, Herman was up-and-down accuracy-wise, and his ball was sailing a bit, but man, the Waconia product has a huge arm and flashed some of the more impressive throws and overall arm talent at the Elite Academy. He has the potential to command the entire route tree with deadly results, especially with the outstanding touch he throw on his deeper and more intermediate routes he showed on Sunday. Herman was especially impressive in a drill designed to have the QB roll left and deliver the ball quickly and accurately between a window of two rushers, and I’m really interested to see how this current offseason and development impacts Herman’s recruitment and Waconia’s potential in 2026. Taking over the starting QB job at Waconia after his older brother Kaden graduated, Karsen Herman Karsen Herman 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Waconia | 2027 State MN quickly found strong footing leading the Wildcats’ offense. Herman threw for 1304 yards, 15 TDs, and 3 INTs while adding 177 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs. I was really impressed with several of Herman’s throws under duress, nailing the placement on passes where he faced a lot of pressure and finding his receivers down the field in stride. Herman isn’t afraid to sling the ball down the field and he also showcases a sneaky level of speed as a scrambler, including on an 85 yard TD run against Northfield where he fooled the defense on a keeper and outran the secondary to the endzone. Herman adds a lot of dimension to Waconia’s offense and he should continue to excel as he enters his senior season.
