Who else to start this final edition of our Emergent Series than the #1 overall prospect in Minnesota heading into the class of 2028, [player_tooltip player_id='1651164' first='Tre' last='Moore']. Playing in every game for Hopkins, Moore threw for 1438 yards, 14 touchdowns, and only 4 picks, adding 185 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. Receiving significant playing time in the varsity lineup, Moore not only found his footing in the starting lineup, but flashed a ton of playmaking ability, proving to be a great scrambler and showing impressive strength and accuracy throwing on the run. Moore showed poise and smart decision-making under Center, along with a solid amount of grit and toughness when it came to taking hits from defenders. Hopkins' future looks bright with Moore under Center.

With an impressive frame and promising reps as a Tackle, [player_tooltip player_id='1651491' first='Owen' last='Bauer'] has already solidified his spot as the top O-line prospect in Minnesota heading into his sophomore season. Bauer plays with a low stance and great footwork, and he does a good job at jamming defenders running downhill and smothering them to keep the pocket clean. Seeing playing time at both Tackle positions, Bauer proved competent handling both of those roles, boasting the strength and quickness to handle both roles. Following the footsteps of his older brother Jack, who committed to play for St. Thomas this year, Owen should no doubt begin to garner attention from D1 teams very soon with the way he's playing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1651473' first='Jaidon' last='Jackson'] emerged as one of the few bright spots on Rosemount's offense last season with flashes of explosiveness in their ground game. Whether lined up as the tailback or as a fullback, Jackson was able to win on his reps with flashy cuts and moves, quick speed, and great vision being able to find his open lanes. Jackson is consistently putting in effort in dragging out his plays for his extra yardage, refusing to go down easily, Jackson was consistently trying to maneuver around defenders or flat out drag defenders ahead on multiple carries last season. Jackson will be a nice asset for Rosemount's offense to build around over the next 3 seasons.

Behind Bauer in the O-line rankings for 2028 is [player_tooltip player_id='1651477' first='Cole' last='Dahl'], who has delivered as a powerful Right Tackle for Farmington. Often used as the primary pull-blocker in the run-game, Dahl has devastating strength on the run, showing great hustle and speed when moving, and he was constantly able to plow through defenders for pancake blocks. Playing with a strong base and solid lateral movement, Dahl was rarely beaten by edge-rushers in the passing game, and was able to maintain his grip on defenders to keep them from breaking into the pocket. Dahl's presence helped Farmington to their first winning season since 2021, and his growth on the trenches should help Farmington continue their re-emergence in the conference going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1075477' first='Edwin' last='Ekah'] proved to be a huge playmaker for Centennial's JV offense last season, and with an outstanding showcase performance back in January that earned him MVP honors for the event, Ekah is building a strong case to contend for a major role on the varsity lineup next season. Ekah didn't take many snaps as a natural tailback, rather being lined up as a TE before being motioned into the backfield pre-snap and taking a pitch. This method worked as he was able to use his great vision, speed, and cutback ability to maneuver effortlessly through the defense, finding the endzone quite often on JV. With a flashy 34" vertical, 405 lb max squat, and 4.7 40 yard time, Ekah possesses plenty of athleticism, and combined with his playing-style should continue to make him a dangerous force in the backfield. Ekah should see a bump into the varsity lineup heading into 2025.

After a strong showing during his freshman year on JV, [player_tooltip player_id='1651474' first='Alpha' last='Assibu'] may be very well in prime contention for the starting QB job on Anoka's varsity team in 2025. I was really impressed with Assibu's improvisational ability and poise under duress, showing great throwing motion and impressive throwing strength, slinging several deep throws with just the flick of the wrist. Showing great mobility, Assibu is just as dangerous on the run, showing solid accuracy out of the pocket and ball-carrier vision like a RB to cut around defenders. These traits give Assibu an edge toward earning the starting role, and it will be interesting to see whether Assibu earns the job heading into this fall.
