This one is a projection of what we have seen early from Dominic, along with how he has been developing physically. He’s a brute, with the size and strength you love to see from a between-the-tackles back. His tape shows high effort, great contact balance and vision. When he gets outside, he’s just as dangerous as he has just enough speed to make guys miss, but he prefers to lower the pads and deliver some punishing blows. Really excited for this season, and really bullish on his current trajectory.

What an incredible season it was for Nauss. Rarely do we see a sophomore RB perform this well at such a big school.
An all-region selection, Nauss strung together several impressive performances against some legit defenses. Watching him in person against West Bloomfield, I didn’t see any glaring weaknesses. What makes Nauss such a productive athlete is that he can beat you in a variety of different ways. He can be your short-yardage power back, plowing through tackles and shaking off arm tackles. Additionally, he can take outside tosses to the house with legit speed and vision. Already extremely well-built, and maybe on track toward G5 offers in the coming months.

Nauss was extremely impressive against West Bloomfield. He just kept on coming.
I was only in attendance for the second half, but I still watched 10+ carries from Nauss. In total, he probably earned over 20 touches, which is an elite number for an RB.
Nauss did a great job wearing down the West Bloomfield defense. It didn’t matter if it was inside zone or outside toss- Nauss brought excellent physicality and good contact balance. When he earned his way into the open field, I was impressed with his top speed. Nauss did look a bit slow during his last couple carries, but pretty much anyone would be if they had a 20+ carry playoff game.
It’ll be a tall task to upset Detroit CC tomorrow, but with Nauss, they’ve got a shot. Super impressed with Nauss last week, and looking forward to seeing more this offseason.

For and underclassman, it seems like Nauss is beyond his years right now. Great size, good power and vision. I love how hard he hits the hole. The second there’s a gap, he hits the gas and blows through the line with a tremendous burst. He is willing and able to participate in the passing game, as he was able to be effective on screens at getting behind his blocks, making a man miss and getting some tough yards. Whether it’s inside the tackles or out in space, Nauss has the tools necessary to be a home-run threat. A nice prospect that I will be watching closely over the coming years.

Dominic showed some flashes in 2024, even earning a bit of Varsity playing time.
Obviously, earning Varsity time as a freshman is a massive accomplishment. In his first Varsity snap, Dominic took a screen, sidestepped a linebacker, and navigated his way through tight traffic for a 1st-down. On that play and many others, I see flashes of good explosiveness, vision, and even power.
At this rate, Dominic should be a full-time Varsity player soon. Love what I’ve seen from the little tape he has.
