The 2028 class is in one of their most important stages of development. Over the last few months, I have done a ton of research on this class and found a number of prospects I have no issue recommending to Division 1 schools when asked and below are 5 I feel the most confident in right now.

Grayson already has the green light from one D1-Western Michigan. Still, I think Todd is extremely underrated. His length and skill as a DB far surpasses most high school defensive backs already. I absolutely love how fluidly he moves, and when he decides to turn and burn, he has no issue keeping up with even the quickest receivers. He's physical enough to come and play the run, and shows high effort play after play, and that hustle turns into game-changing plays for his squad. Great talent that's still largely being overlooked.

This one is a projection of what we have seen early from Dominic, along with how he has been developing physically. He's a brute, with the size and strength you love to see from a between-the-tackles back. His tape shows high effort, great contact balance and vision. When he gets outside, he's just as dangerous as he has just enough speed to make guys miss, but he prefers to lower the pads and deliver some punishing blows. Really excited for this season, and really bullish on his current trajectory.

Antonio has done everything necessary to put himself on the radar of D1 coaches. He has put in the work in the weight room, and has packed on a ton of muscle. He has gained a significant amount of height as well over the last couple of years since I first saw him work. His football IQ has very clearly developed, as his film shows a ton of examples of him diagnosing a play quickly and flying to his position. He takes good angles and is a superb tackler. I will be recommending Antonio a ton over the coming months to just about anyone that will listen.

The frame is hard to miss, but it's not just the size that makes me so positive that Beyer is a D1 dude. At the TE blocker, he has proven to be versatile. He's a willing and able blocker that shows high effort, even downfield. As a pass catcher, he can line up tight to the line or split out when called upon. His route running is improving, and I like what I see from his hands. The tools are all there, and the skills are starting to come along. The sky is the limit, and in the right situation, I'm confident he will absolutely flourish.

I had an absolute blast covering Austin last season. When I realized he was only a 2028, it raised my eyebrows even more. He played like an experienced vet. His play recognition and ability to cover from sideline to sideline was obvious in every rep I saw from him. His ability to go up and contest everything allowed him to get some pretty unlikely and high difficulty PBUs. His speed is also far beyond the average. Both straight line and change of direction were incredibly impressive right from the start. No reason that Austin doesn't get a realistic shot at an FBS level by the end of his high school years.
