Expert Analysis

This is another athlete who I can see having a very fun summer to follow. Jabbar is an explosive athlete who has the frame of a scat back or change of pace back. The tape highlights traits that matches that too. Jabbar is someone who can make you miss, fly through gaps before an LB can fill them, and he has the combo of vision and acceleration that makes him a nightmare to contain anywhere on the field. That will all show at summer camps, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how he tests in combine drills.

really start to produce for the MAS offense. The #1 trait that jumps off the Week 7 highlights is his acceleration. Jabbar can jump from 0-100 by the time he gets through the line of scrimmage. That burst made it so difficult for LBs to close gaps and get to him before he could get through level two. Paired with those short area athletic gifts is his vision with the ball in his hands. Jabbar is young, but he reads the field like a veteran. It is a special trait to have and get to develop for two more seasons at the high school level. I’m really liking what we are seeing from the underclassman. Get him on your recruiting boards if he isn’t there already!

The first athlete I want to talk about is the freshman RB out of Milwaukee Academy of Science. MAS is turning into an RB factory. Their starter in 2024 is headed to SDSU. They return two others, including Jabbar, for 2025 that should be able to pick up the slack and carry the load. Jabbar put together a great day at the showcase, especially for a freshman. He had back to back 4.69 40 yard dashes, highlighting his long speed and explosive acceleration. However, Jabbar really showed off his skills when they got to take on the LB position. The small, scat back was agile and elusive while taking LBs on 1 on 1 in space. Plus he used his speed well to open up separation in the 1 on 1 coverage battles. Hister will be an interesting back to watch grow and develop over the next few years.
