2028s Knocking on the Door of the Top 100

They have spent the offseason competing in other sports and preparing themselves to prove they are better than ever, with even higher ceilings of potential than we thought back in November when the season ended. This is obviously a huge summer for 2027s, but it is also the launching pad for those top tier 2028s. Looking through our rankings I identified several who I believe have the chance to make a big rise into our Top 100 with what they show this summer. The 2028 OL has experience all along the OL and even took reps at TE this past fall. His biggest question will be size, playing at 6'1" 240 lbs in 2025. Despite being lighter Carter has proven to be a powerful athlete. One who can string his next level athleticism into gap clearing momentum. The range and short area quickness that Carter possesses allows him to win with leverage and positioning. With where he is already at in terms of power, if Carter can start to add more and more size to that frame we could see him really establish himself as one of the better IOL talents in the 2028 Class. In 2025 he proved to be very impactful while lining up from guard to guard predominantly. While that is undersized for that role typically, Jameson has shown that with his strength, leverage, and hand placement he can hold the line of scrimmage. Or he can power through gaps and create that quick havoc in the backfield. The '28 has a solid first step too that can create an instant surge of power when he engages the OL. Jabbar is an explosive athlete who has the frame of a scat back or change of pace back. The tape highlights traits that matches that too. Jabbar is someone who can make you miss, fly through gaps before an LB can fill them, and he has the combo of vision and acceleration that makes him a nightmare to contain anywhere on the field. He doesn't have a ton of film to go through, but I'm liking what I see from it. Nolan has the budding frame at 6'3" 270 lbs, so he looks the part. The 2028 also flashed the power in the run game to completely wipe away a DL from the designed gap. Especially with double teams. The big man seems to have decent mobility as well. This summer will be a great chance to continue to fill out the picture of what his full skill set is. This is definitely a potential sleeper. His play in the middle helped the team make it to a State Championship appearance this past season. Along the way Treton showed off that seek and destroy play style. He has the range to roam sideline to sideline and the closing burst to quickly end plays. The rising, 6' 195 lbs 2028 LB also impressed with how he can move through traffic and make blockers miss him in tight quarters. Treton is already piling up the experience. He has a rare frame for a sophomore QB at 6'4" 215 lbs. The big man was able to earn varsity experience as a sophomore, but it showed a very raw passer. One who has solid tools, but needs time to bring everything together to work as one and allow him to have that consistent accuracy. This summer will be a great chance for him to show off that he has put in work this offseason to take that next step in his development to help his footwork and accuracy. The size and arm strength is there. If he can learn to control it then we will see him steadily climb that QB position rankings. The Appleton East product has a great frame to win on the outside at 6'3" 180 lbs. His hands jump out on the highlight reel. Tate is able to pluck the ball out of the air quickly and away from his body then quickly secure it to his chest with strong hands. The 2028 makes the impressive concentration catches and grabs in traffic. It is also great to see him run smooth through his routes, especially ones that let him open up and use those long strides further downfield.
